Coburn: Obama a 'Friend,' But His Actions Nearing Grounds for Impeachment
CNN ^ | Thursday, August 22, 2013 | Bryan Koenig, CNN Political Unit

Sen. Tom Coburn became the latest Republican lawmaker to link President Barack Obama to potential grounds for impeachment during a town hall Wednesday.

The Oklahoma Republican – who also said Obama was a "personal friend" – responded to a question from a constituent by asserting that the president's policies were approaching a legal standard for impeachment.

Without using specifics, Coburn cited "intended violation of the law" by Obama's administration, as well as general incompetence of some of his appointees.

"I don't have the legal background to know if that rises to high crimes and misdemeanors – but I think they're getting perilously close," Coburn said, according to a YouTube video posted Thursday.

I am sick and tired of hearing the drivel of “my friend on the other side of asile”...the Constitution is what it is..use it or forget about it. There are so many areas he could be impeached.
Let me give one I have not seen hide nor hair of.He attended Occidental college for a year. If he accepted money as a foriegn student then he is not eligible to be POTUS.
If he lied about being a foriegn student because he was born in Hawaii...then he commited fraud to get foriegn student aid. Since this is a felony I think it reaches the bar of high crimes and misdemeanors
I am waiting for some politician to get off the honey pot and get serious about making this man accountable.
Until the GOP grows a spine.Don’t expect me to vote for your canidates

He is just pandering.

He has drank the water in DC.

He might have written the book about how a conservative gets liberalized in DC but he has also fallen into that himself.

WRONG!!!!!!!

If he were white he would be lucky to be employed by Mickey D’s ... even today, as he probably would have been abandoned by his GParents when his ‘momma?’ left him on their doorstep.

The ‘black’ half of him has opened doors ever since, doors that never would have been answered if he were White, much less opened.

Stupid pig that you are.

Not you Kristinn, but the fool Bryan Koenig who wrote the piece.

Sure you knew that, but not taking chances.

THIS is why his talk about a Constitutional Convention worries me....

I do NOT trust him.

Coburn has shown his true colors, and they are not in the Constitutional palette.

Yeah, right. He just says that because he is back in Muskogee County, Oklahoma and knows somebody would lose their good nature and beat the living hell out of him if he said anything else.

My eyeballs glaze over and I quit listening, reading or believing just after he says obastard is a “friend”.

We are known by the company we keep and I don’t have or want any friends like obastard or anyone else who is “friends” with them.

It appears congress is more concerned with O’s job than the citizens and the state of our country.

Meaning, this ishould not be about hurting poor O’s feelings. This is about doing the right thing for us.

So, if its impeachable, let the games begin.

The Oklahoma Republican – who also said Obama was a "personal friend"

Quit reading right there.

Dog and pony show, smoke and mirrors.

A man who can pick friends like that says it all.
If he doesn't really mean it, be a man and don't say it you pandering bastard.

I've had enough of this 'good friend' crap!

Can't ever recall when I've ever called an enemy a good friend, ain't right.

He should be more discriminating in who he calls a “Friend”.

No pun intended.

Well, Obama could eat live kittens and rape little boys on the White House Front lawn, show MSNBC/CNN his Islam prayer rug in his prayer room and the democrat controlled Senate would not convict...

Until the republicans control the Senate...it's a moot point...

Coburn is pandering

Coburn lost his freaking mind, nobody should serve more than a single term or two in the Senate

As we all are well-aware, the “first black president” cannot possibly be impeached, because to do so would cast a stain upon all-important “diversity.”

The sad part is, I think this would be the case even if the GOP leadership wasn’t such creampuffs. The nation’s laudable sense of fair play for minorities has been so co-opted and corrupted by the liberals that even criticism of Obama is, in Jesse Jackson’s immortal words, “frowned upon.”
