Sen. Tom Coburn became the latest Republican lawmaker to link President Barack Obama to potential grounds for impeachment during a town hall Wednesday.
The Oklahoma Republican – who also said Obama was a "personal friend" – responded to a question from a constituent by asserting that the president's policies were approaching a legal standard for impeachment.
Without using specifics, Coburn cited "intended violation of the law" by Obama's administration, as well as general incompetence of some of his appointees.
"I don't have the legal background to know if that rises to high crimes and misdemeanors – but I think they're getting perilously close," Coburn said, according to a YouTube video posted Thursday.

Issues of church discipline don’t carry over into the stewardship of a government staffed by mixed believers and unbelievers.
The true issue is independent of any political move. We’ve quit asking the Lord for blessings so as to be exalted in us. We’re wandering around on our own, subsisting. God never wanted us to have the false humility of subsisting, God wanted us to prosper (in spirit, which might or might not mean prospering in earthly goods too, though it could if the goods are dedicated to the Lord).
God’s not there with some big grudge to be satisfied, but he has given permission to lots of demons to come in and nip at our heels to wake us up to the need for Him. We can sock him on the head with new confession and forsaking of sins (instant forgiveness no probationary period needed) and praise and prayer for God’s exaltation.
Get the spiritual stuff right and the physical stuff WILL follow. We’re here ragging on a politician who is as powerless as we are because the power was in the exaltation of God which has been forsaken.

Maybe that is what you thought that I was doing but I was just pointing out that GOD has given us guidance when it comes to picking our “personal friends”. I wasn’t ragging on coburn in this post... obama is evil and coburn is “personal friends” with him. Where better to go for guidance than to GOD?
“Personal friends” is actually very, very gospel.

And yes you WERE quoting church discipline passages. Got to divide that word of truth correctly or you are just in a spiritually lame position. Not unforgivable, but if you stand on your pride and defend it rather than turning to something better, you go nowhere.

Concerning the issue of trusting Coburn - well, that is looking more doubtful every day, but he shouldn’t feel too bad. He has a LOT of company ;)
I pray that I am going to Heaven my friend... not “nowhere”. I certainly hope and pray that we both do. I was just trying to explain myself and my reasoning and all that I can tell you was what was in my heart and mind.

If I had to choose between impeachment before 2016 and putting Zippy in jail after 2016, I’d choose the latter. It will take a housecleaning in Congress to get justice.

Sadly, Coburn had to know the truth (if he read Mark,’s book) when he said it.
Same thing is happening to efforts for defunding Obamacare. The R’s and the D’s sell it as defunding the entire government. Our guys have never considered “shutting down the government”, but who would know that, the way media cherry picks picks the sources twisting the truth.
