Sen. Tom Coburn became the latest Republican lawmaker to link President Barack Obama to potential grounds for impeachment during a town hall Wednesday.
The Oklahoma Republican – who also said Obama was a "personal friend" – responded to a question from a constituent by asserting that the president's policies were approaching a legal standard for impeachment.
Without using specifics, Coburn cited "intended violation of the law" by Obama's administration, as well as general incompetence of some of his appointees.
"I don't have the legal background to know if that rises to high crimes and misdemeanors – but I think they're getting perilously close," Coburn said, according to a YouTube video posted Thursday.

I'm pretty much in my "Had enough of the bastards mood" today.
He just strengthens the enemies resolve because they know they can now get away with anything. Coburn would be advised to either accuse him outright or keep his mouth shut. No middle ground.
Never accuse a President of almost breaking the law or committing impeachable offenses. “We don’t want to think. We want to know”.

That is the hard part. We need a bill of particulars. Ranting and venting is fun/academic/good exercise but the list MUST be specific. I’m ready to support anyone with the goods but I’m not sending a dime to another bunch of posers who can’t get it done.
I sent a bunch of money to Klayman and his happy band of Clintoon investigators but they couldn’t get it done. If Coburn claims he’s working on it then he must be pressured to pick up the pace. Invalidating Obamuzzie’s signature would be a cheap way to get rid of all his phoney krap but the list must be specific.
Why worry because Coburn says “Constitutional Convention”?
First, he doesn’t know the correct terminology, his town hall meeting constituent mentioned Mark Levin’s book about a convention to AMEND the Constitution according to the process laid out in the Constitution itself.
That is not a “Constitutional Convention”, it’s an “amend the Constitution convention”, two entirely different things.
Second, Coburn has absolutely nothing to say about what happens. This would be a convention of STATES and completely bypasses Washington DC/the Federal Government.
In fact, when the constituent asked Coburn for his suggestion what citizens could do to advance Levin’s cause, Coburn said, this has nothing to do with me, you need to lobby the OK state legislature to join the effort.
NEARING?!! He ignores the law and the Constitution and he is only NEARING grounds for impeachment?
A friend??? really? With friends like that ...

Coburn is talking constitutional convention. Mark Levine is not. I heard Levin say that this is not a constitutional convention he is calling for.
