The White House will hold a roundtable event on issues facing the bisexual community next month, according to a report in the Washington Blade.
The closed-door meeting is likely the first of its kind in the Obama administration, the paper reported. According to the event's invitation, it will take place Sept. 23 in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building across the street from the West Wing.
“Participants and administration officials will discuss a range of topics including health, HIV/AIDS, domestic and intimate partner violence, mental health, and bullying,” White House LGBT liaison Gautam Raghavan said.

I thought this was a hyped-up, overheated post from WND or some similar source...and almost didn’t click on it. But it appears to be real. As real as fantasy can be.
Who in the heck ever thought that in the course of a few short years, we would go to having our entire country focused on the sexual practices of a handful of freaks?
Granted, the current president may be one of them. But really, who cares?
Except that this is a tiny but powerful constituency. Gay men are very big in the media and entertainment industry, and gay women are very big in Dem politics now. Both groups have a lot of disposable income and are influential and vote Dem, so therefore it’s very important for Obama to cultivate them.
Talk about playing the fiddle while Rome burns...I’m just not seeing this as an issue that needs addressing by the POTUS....
I am at the end of my rope about the government weighing in on issues that have nothing to do with running this country as outlined in the Constitution. It is like one big E channel love in.

But this strangely brings us to the political chatter. What exactly can you give a bi-person? They aren’t gay. No one is sure about the numbers. It’s often suggested that bi-folks are more about fetish options than than the idea of bi-stuff anyway.
The offering? A three-way marriage. That’s virtually the only thing that could be put on the table which would make them eternally happy. You can imagine the White House team sitting there, and this gets laid out on the table. It was almost impossible to get enough Democrats to buy up on this gay-marriage thing, but a three-person marriage? I doubt if fifty percent of all Democrats could buy into this. Half of them would draw the line and say that wasn’t really on their list of top priorities.
