All the new stories I’ve seen, some in the headline and first line, have touted this great news.

Yep. While the fun-with-numbers bunch continues to roll its bogus figures.... there's another statistic that tells a different story:

The problem is, thanks to government liars, we have no idea what these numbers mean in a real world.

Every week we see 300K+ new UE claims filed.
Every week we see 160K +/- new jobs CLAIMED

Simple math would seem to indicate a perpetual downward trend but the Spin Meisters claim a declining UE rate.

We do know for a fact, just not the actual number, that every week more people drop off the UE line as they have exhausted their benefits or given up or retired.

Just like we are being fed a crap sandwich for inflation numbers as food and energy are skyrocketing (bHo wanted energy to do this) so just how is inflation low?

Who will reject the left/right food fight and present hard, real, true numbers so intelligent people can make intelligent decisions?

Here it is in a nutshell. Basically, anything and everything this current government tells you (and that includes their lapdog media) is a lie.

I have no trust in, and damned little hope for, America as long as it is controlled by these ideological maniacs. I’ve seen horror movies where the plot was much tamer with regard to what these asswipes are intending.

Exceeding your max number of weeks for UE benefits gets you dropped off the UE rolls and you are no longer counted in the government UE numbers.

Again, incorrect. Whether or not you receive unemployment compensation, or whether you did at one time and do not any longer, has no bearing on how the unemployment rate is calculated.

It shouldn’t be as 1rudeboy’s post 11 is government in a nutshell.

Not sure what that means, exactly. I work in a job where I am not eligible for unemployment benefits. If I lose my job (and look for a new one), I am still in the labor force and unemployed.

If the government wants to massage the unemployment rate number, it can do so . . . spreading fallacies about it serves no purpose.

That number is about to get a lot worse as companies are now laying off in droves. “Profit season” is over for the summer months and now we head into the “Tax Season” whereby companies pucker up to make the books look better for end of fiscal year.

someone should start coupling the percentage of jobs that are now part time (< 29.5 hrs per week). Sadly, that percentage is growing like a wild fire, and it is the Obamawreckcare’s fault.

TRANSLATION: Welcome to "The New Normal". Bad news is not so bad and could be worse (especially if all those who have given up were actually counted). Repeat a lie long enough and it becomes the truth. Thanks Chairman 0bama.

No doubt you have, I am finally beginning to understand the true meaning of, “Truth is stranger than fiction.” I don’t recall many horror movies calling for the elimination of over ninety percent of the human population on the Earth.
