How goes the beekeeping?
Will they survive in most climates or only certain parts of the country?
I would LOVE to have some bees (and their honey) when we get our farm settled into.
LOL!
Take a look at China.
Take a look at the U. S.
When you scrape the crap off your windshield, perhaps you’ll see a little clearer ace.
You lost this argument twenty years ago, when the U. S. decided to go all in, and we now have 40 million people out of work.
I guess that’s lost on you.
So we have some beekeepers, eh? Join the club.
Bees can theoretically survive most places, except where it’s extremely cold. Like central Alaska cold. They’re kept in Anchorage where it’s a bit warmer, although it’s not easy.
Mine are currently protesting their varroa treatment. I think they’ll get over it. Although the girls in my ornery hive hit me about 5-6 times in the process.
Ours will survive if you leave them enough food (leave at least two more frames of honey than you think they will need) and it get’s pretty cold here - Eastern WA/North Idaho. Lots of folks bring them inside or put them in a barn that stays above freezing.
The main problem we are having with one of our hives this year is the Western Meat Yellowjackets the government released to combat the pine beetles. They are swarming everything including one of our hives.

you really think that China is doing better than the US? China is doomed.
You’re aware that the average Chinese person is older than the US, and that their labor costs are through the roof?
Okay, then the standard of living went up in the U. S. over the last twenty years, and it went down in China.
Thanks for the enlightenment.
Sheesh!
Chinese standard of living has probably peaked and is still, much lower than the United States.

Tattler re-usable canning lids, and a Wreck electric canner. Tough-to-beat combination.
Re-usable canning lids? Neat - never heard of ‘em. Will do some goggling.
