Yes isn’t that strange. Don’t care how much you spend on Mexican Nationals but bitch about Americans. Wonder what the ratio of Federal taxes paid by Californians as opposed to how much of other states money they consume? It would be interesting to know. Besides I thought thats what California was, a statewide mental ward. I wouldn’t think they would have noticed.

I've been reading that the majority of these alleged mentally-ill patients are criminal defendants ordered to undergo psychiatric evaluations and have the last verifiable known address in California -- mostly in Los Angeles, in fact. Even SFGate.com's own previous stories on this 'Greyhound Therapy' controversy going back almost two years say so. We're talking 138 former patients from this NV hospital being bused off, and less that 20% of them were sent to SF. The rest went to LA.
If a California-resident criminal comes to Las Vegas, commits a crime, is ordered into a psychiatric hospital that is otherwise very much like jail, once they're released they go back wherever they came from.
As a former ten-plus year resident of San Francisco, I'm bewildered by San Francisco's motion that the homeless should 'Go Home'. Well, fair enough; they ARE going home.
"Well, Mr. Lunatic, you've served your 22 months for selling your psychiatric drugs at McCarran park in North Las Vegas. So, where do you want a bus ticket to? You're not staying here."
"Well, I grew up in LA, man..."
"Oh? You mean you're not actually from the dusty cowpoke town of Yerington NV, but Los Angeles"
"What? Yerington? Hell no, man. I'm from Pomona CA!"

So what's the problem? I, for one, WELCOME an investigation and a lawsuit from San Francisco.
