Saudi Arabia called on Wednesday for an emergency U.N. Security Council meeting to discuss reports of a chemical attack that opposition groups say killed hundreds of people in Syria, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud al-Faisal said.
"It is time for the Security Council to shoulder its responsibility and overcome differences between its members and restore the confidence of the international community by convening immediately to issue a clear and deterrent resolution that will put an end to this human crisis," Prince Saud said in a statement.

So when it’s one of theirs killed they care?
Someone pass me my coffee.
The president is an international joke. The american press just doesn't have the stomach to discuss it.
Time to move that red line again.
We need to instigate an all-out Shia-Shiite war.
Need more coffee.
Everything is going fine over there. Muslims wiping each other out with very few “infidels” being effected.
Saudi Arabia politics are really complicated. On the one hand they are in support of the anti-Muslim Brotherhood Coup in Egypt. They like the much more friendly Egyptian Military running things like the good old days. They like stability.
In Syria, however, they support the rebels which include al Qaeda and certainly the Muslim Brotherhood. In this case the Saudi Policy has to be based on the greater goal of reducing the influence, power and reach of Iran. Since Syria is without a doubt an Iranian client that actually makes sense.
But it might also be an “out of the frying pan and into the fire” decision by the Saudis. Time will tell on that. But they are probably correct and they certainly understand Middle East politics better than the Big O.
Yes ,the UN should get out of the Global Warming crap and back into Peace Keeping
“They like stability”
I think you are right. Now look at Obama’s foreign policy. He likes chaos and in every conflict over there, he constantly backs the Muslim Brotherhood and the Islamists.
Perhaps the Sauds are finally figuring it out. Obama is systematically assisting and promoting the removal of long standing ME regimes in favor of totalitarian fascist Islamist leaders. They know they could be next.
No doubt about it.
Normally, I would agree with you, but “IF” it is true we need to discourage the use of Nerve gas on civilians. Not sure how we do that at this point other than invading or airstrikes at this point.
“Perhaps the Sauds are finally figuring it out. Obama is systematically assisting and promoting the removal of long standing ME regimes in favor of totalitarian fascist Islamist leaders. They know they could be next.”
The muzzies are loosing out there. They invent such horror stories for they urgently need some shocking sensation to ivoke sympathy from the international community. Besides, Assad aint so silly to deploy the chems right after the UN inspectors arrived in the country to check out allegations of a WMD use.
The picture of the killed kids posted by some news agencies will never make me believe its true. If one gets poisoned by a lethal gas his face will be distorted with pain, will not look like a peaceful sleep.
from the story I read the “attack” happened 3 days after a UN team arrived in Syria to investigate chemical attacks!....Right...Right!
