The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention posted a video on its website to provide the definition of environmental justice, specifically when it comes to communities. “The health of a community suffers when people don’t have access to healthy homes, healthy food, transportation, fresh air and safe neighborhoods,” the narrator stated in the video. She is Dr. LaToria Whitehead, who works in CDC’s Healthy Homes and Lead Poisoning Prevention Branch. “I’m also an environmental justice specialist,” Whitehead said. This was tiresome forty years ago and is beginning to stink like moldy leftover fish in the back of the fridge. These days it serves only to make the speaker think well of herself, an imaginary virtue masking a real theft whose victim has no moral standing to protest. A thieves' paradise, in short.

Misfortunately, all too often, their air-brained opinions do have the force of law—or at least, what passes for law in post-constitutional America.
If they can get Leroy to stop Killing, Raping, & burglarizing his neighbors and get Tawanna to clean the house once in a while much of this could succeed.
Just an observation from a former social worker:
Most of the unhealthy environment in poorer neighborhoods are inside the homes. A good cleaning, especially for the mold and dust mites, would go a long way to improve the lives of many kids.
