CAIRO — Egyptian judiciary officials say former President Hosni Mubarak could be freed from custody this week.

They say a court on Monday ordered his release in a corruption case that alleged he and his two sons embezzled funds for presidential palaces.

Interesting twist. Of course Egypt was better off with him than the Muslim Brotherbood but he didnt become a billionaire by lucky cattle futures picks like Hillary. His family has been embezzling for decades.

Better to have an SOB whose corruption is known and whose interests can be synched with ours that to give free reign to Islamist crusaders. This is how it used to work. Ref: Hussein, Assad, Qadiddi...

Have to wonder if this is a prelude to putting him back in power? I just don’t know about his health. At one point and perhaps yet he was quite ill.

At first I misread and thought this was Morsi. Duh!

But this is good news. I hope the military can protect him.

This is a real slap to Obama, Hillary, Biden, McCain, and that man-child from South Carolina.

Soooooo...Hosebag Mubarak is getting out of this one, eh? Good for him. I think he started to think he was a goner.

There he was, laying on his stretcher, in a huge cage with his sons in what passes as an Egyptian court of law. He had that white towel over his head while he was relaying commands to Al-Si si. Brilliant tactic, play nearly dead for months...vital signs going, vital signs improving, vital signs going again...

If he plays it smart, he gathers up his stolen wealth with his sons and scoots out of Egypt on his private plane to wherever they will grant him asylum. In the meantime the Generals outlaw the MB and put them back under the iron fist, just as Nasser, Sadat and Mubarak did.

Poor little MB diddums, waited 80 years to seize power and managed to hold onto to it for 12 months...awww shucks Morsi! Talk about wasted opportunities...

The Egyptians should top this issue with fudge sauce and a cherry on top:

After releasing Mubarak from his cell, transfer Morsi into it.

“After releasing Mubarak from his cell, transfer Morsi into it.”

There’s some speculation about Morsi’s condition. Kind of like Schrodinger’s cat. We won’t know until they open the box.

This is what is commonly called “up yours” in certail areas of Chicago. I bet his excellency is beyond POed at this point. I frankly love it. What our illustrious GOP cannot find the way to do, we have to rely upon those outside the US to do it for us, like Putin. Now if we could get the Mexicans to be worked up about the fast and furious guns to Mexico still killing their citizens, perhaps we can get some foreign intervention for the guy who loves to listen to the world courts and UN over our founders intent.

This is a wise move by the anti-Morsi crowd.

Mubarak still has strong ties to the Egyptian military. Lots of friends. Lots of loyalty.

He also has a long history of diplomatic relations with other countries.

He also represents stability in Egypt. He was very corrupt and evil, but stable. Egypt needs stability.

“Our interest” that is, Obama’s... IS in sync with the Islamist crusaders.

Once this starts looking like an effort to put Mubarak back in power, it’ll fail. Obama, McCain, the EU, and all the other dhimmis will have the piece de resistance they’ve been looking for.

I am glad to hear this because I feel both Christians and Israel are safer with him in power...not that he will be put in charge, but it shows the power struggle over there is going in the right direction.
What really surprises me is that Putin is happy about this news too. Seems I sure do agree with Putin an awful lot lately, now that’s scary.
