The Republican National Committee (RNC) voted unanimously Friday to pull the group’s partnership with NBC and CNN for the 2016 GOP presidential primary debates unless the networks kill their planned films on Hillary Clinton.

“We don't have time for the media's games,” RNC Chairman Reince Priebus said before the vote at the RNC summer meeting in Boston. “We’re done putting up with this nonsense. There are plenty of other news outlets.”

...

This week, the Washington Examiner reported that the RNC is considering some high-profile conservative media personalities, like Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh, as potential debate moderators.

“I actually think that’s a very good idea,” Priebus said.

Smart move if they stick to their guns.

Tough talk from the part that ‘found time’ to help Barry into office twice, trashing any conservative they could find in the process.

If you thought that the last two Presidential elections were dirty well...as the man once said, “You ain’t seen nuttin’ yet.” The Marxists are in a position to cement their power for generations. They will do ANYTHING!

Smart move my rear they should not allow any liberal network to control the debates, whether they air a Hilary movie or not.

Think of what Crowley and Stephanopoulos did in debates.

I predict this “ban” will be lifted before it ever takes effect.

This whole thing is a show by the RINO leadership that does nothing to change its Obamalite policies.

They didn’t raise a fuss about amnesty, in fact they have to divert our attention from that issue so they pander to our resentment of the media to suck us in.

They are playing us for fools with this emotional outburst.

I’ve watched Arlen Specter play a conservative game when he was in political trouble and you better believe the GOPe is in deep political trouble now.

We aren’t being fooled anymore by the tough talk they put out on Fox and the radio talk shows.

Yawn, CNN and NBC will just work in collusion with their ideological brethren CBS, ABC to trash the Republican candidate in 2016.

Juan McCain speaking out against this move or apologizing for it in three, two, one.

I’ll agree with you but I'll accept some baby steps till the republicans truly wake up. Some signs are a good sign. You have my full agreement but the waters have to be tested. What if all the networks pulled back and went full bore and would not invite the republicans to any debate? On second thought that might work out quite well.

Oh I know. And I don’t for a second expect one of them to do it. What I do expect is more sycophants demanding more RINOs because they “WIN!”

Lust look at President McCain’s fine terms and President Romney is almost finished with world peace.

Because the dems are worse and do things like push Amnesty, fund abortion and vote to put gaus in the military. Oh and spy on us too.

RNC Chairman Reince Priebus said before the vote at the RNC summer meeting in Boston. “We’re done putting up with this nonsense.

Apparently, not.

ABC is still in the running and they are the ones who hosted a debate wherein George Stephanopoulos blindsided Romney by asking what his stand was on states banning contraception. That question had no basis, as Romney replied, because no state was even considering a ban on contraception.

Of course, the candidates' muddled responses to that nonsensical question and concept opened the Pubbies to be blamed for having a War on Women.

The sad truth is that there are grassroots people being sucked in by a Democrat political machine too fronted by labor unions, the NAACP, LGBT groups etc. etc.

Glenn Beck quoted the mine workers leader Richard Trumka as saying amnesty may flood the labor force but they’ll “vote the right way”.

Over on the Republican side, the NRA, National Right To Life and other fronts including “Tea Party” groups play a similar role hustling people to support the GOP that will end up stabbing them in the back.

This is both a good move and yet in typical GOP fashion it is a half measure that leaves them a chance to totally reverse themselves or disappoint. Plus it doesn’t deal directly with the problem of moderator bias. So we could just as easily end up with a neoliberal from fox news npr or abc playing debate moderator. What we need are primary debates that revolve around highlight the best of our candidates not gotcha crap that puts a highlights on what liberals think is important. This is a baby step in the right direction but far from what needs to be done.

Also I’d like to see the GOP change primary rules so that it is uniform without caucuses etc with a top two run off in the event the top two candidates do not achieve 50% of the vote. We need to make the GOP primary system one that serves the GOP brand not one that serves the ability of the left to define and destroy our candidates.

They already know what they are doing for 2016 because the deck is stacked for RINO presidential candidates even more than in 2012.
