In a strongly worded defense of the healthcare law, President Barack Obama accused congressional Republicans who favor defunding Obamacare of a willingness for “hurting” sick people, “harming” the economy and “sticking it to” Americans.
The president’s stirring defense comes after several delays to the law were announced, including this week, a delay in caps on out-of-pocket costs. He said some members of Congress are working to inform constituents about taking care of Obamacare benefits, others aren’t.
“But there’s also a group of Republicans in Congress working hard to confuse people, and making empty promises that they’ll either shut down the health care law, or, if they don’t get their way, they’ll shut down the government,” Obama said Saturday during his weekly address.

“Think about that. They’re actually having a debate between hurting Americans who will no longer be denied affordable care just because they’ve been sick – and harming the economy and millions of Americans in the process and many Republicans are more concerned with how badly this debate will hurt them politically than they are with how badly it’ll hurt the country,” he said.
He later added, “A lot of Republicans seem to believe that if they can gum up the works and make this law fail, they’ll somehow be sticking it to me. But they’d just be sticking it to you.”(continued)

Obama's approval numbers are now hitting record lows, yet his critics are often written off as simple- minded "Obama haters." It doesn't wash. The problem is a pattern of presidential lawlessness.
Last time we checked, the Constitution requires the president to "faithfully execute the law." That's no editorial opinion, but Article 2, Section 3, Clause 5 of the U.S. Constitution, which states that "(The President) shall take care that the Laws be faithfully executed."
Our founders conceived and established in that document three co-equal branches of government to preserve our individual liberty and restrain the unlimited power of government.
But this president and his administration have routinely ignored the divisions of power between the presidency, the Congress and its legislation, and the Supreme Court and its rulings. Constitutionally, the president has the authority to check the legislative branch by recommending legislation to be passed by Congress or through the presidential veto.
But he cannot legislate through executive fiat and he can't pick and choose which parts of the law he will comply with or decline. Nor can he defy judicial rulings from the highest court in the land. But that's what he's done. In just the latest example, President Obama's Attorney General Eric Holder has directed federal prosecutors to conceal the amount of drugs seized during an arrest to circumvent mandatory minimum sentences set by Congress in 1986.
Whether one agrees with that law or not, its legal authority lies within the constitutional powers of Congress, not the executive branch. And that's the issue. It's part of a growing litany of presidential lawlessness:

Obama is the epitome of evil. His regime is larded with like-minded Marxist ninnyhammers who delight in sticking another knife in America. Our nation resembles a pin cushion and is dying of a thousand wounds.
He took $900,000,000,000 in “Stimulus Money” and doled it out to HIS SUPPORTERS in the Public Sector Unions, and to his Big Donours and Bundlers, in the Form of “Subsidies” for their “Shell” Companies. He gave it to them. Then he UNILATERALLY Changed the Bankruptcy Laws to favor HIS PEOPLE, so that when these Front Companies went Belly Up - which they were always intended to do - Obama’s Money Men got THEIRS first, skimming some off the top for their Benefactor’s coffers. Many of us have a strong hunch where all that money went, that John Corzine “misplaced” Or, why he hasn’t been Charged with ANYTHING by that incompetent racist running the Injustice Department?
He had his Energy and Interior Secretaries FORGE DOCUMENTS to a Federal Judge, and then put in place an ILLEGAL Drilling Moratorium in the Gulf, up in Alaska, and up and down our East and West Coastlines. He remains, to this day - In Contempt of a Federal Court. (Sounds like a Misdemeanor to me. But then, I don’t wet myself at the sound of the Halfrican’s voice)

Funny. Congress and Obama’s cronies have decided they don’t want Obamacare. Why should we?
