Even as consumer confidence ticks back up, a majority of Americans said they disapprove of the way President Barack Obama is handling the economy. The news comes just weeks after the president launched a new push to bolster the country's tepid economic growth.
A new Gallup poll conducted Aug. 7-11 showed 35 percent of responders approved of Obama's handling of the economy. That's down from 42 percent in a similar poll taken the month before. The economic numbers are below the president's overall approval rating of 44 percent.
The poll showed Obama's approval ratings fell across the board, but took the hardest hits on financial matters. Thirty-six percent approved of his position on taxes and 26 percent approved of his handling of the federal budget deficit. Both of those numbers were a drop of 5 percentage points from the previous month.
Gallup said Obama's job rating on the economy is "on the low end of the range" it has recorded since 2012 but still better than the summer of 2011 when it dipped to 26 percent.
Does it really matter? He is not running for re-election.
He is still going to ram through whatever he wants done via executive order and nobody is going to do anything to stop him.

The lies about Trayvon Martin have been repeated so many times that people believe them. The blacks shout “He was just minding his own business and some cracker killed him!” Then the whites yell “Let’s prove we’re for Trayvon by building a memorial.” We know it’s not black contributions that are paying for it.
Then come the politicians who are in bed with the press. “It’s okay to be spied on because it makes you safe.” And, again, all the cowards yell “Amen! Four more years!”
More and more lies are told, and believed, everyday. How do you counter that if you don’t own the press?
