President Barack Obama's economic approval rating drops to 35 percent (poll)
The Birmingham News ^ | August 16, 2013 | Leada Gore

Even as consumer confidence ticks back up, a majority of Americans said they disapprove of the way President Barack Obama is handling the economy. The news comes just weeks after the president launched a new push to bolster the country's tepid economic growth.

A new Gallup poll conducted Aug. 7-11 showed 35 percent of responders approved of Obama's handling of the economy. That's down from 42 percent in a similar poll taken the month before. The economic numbers are below the president's overall approval rating of 44 percent.

The poll showed Obama's approval ratings fell across the board, but took the hardest hits on financial matters. Thirty-six percent approved of his position on taxes and 26 percent approved of his handling of the federal budget deficit. Both of those numbers were a drop of 5 percentage points from the previous month.

Gallup said Obama's job rating on the economy is "on the low end of the range" it has recorded since 2012 but still better than the summer of 2011 when it dipped to 26 percent.

Radio program interview with a prominent black female politician attempting to convince the audience that obama has leveled out at 35 percent and this is a good number for the white population besides he has an approval rating of 85 percent in the black community and this is all that counts

Good point. It should be zero based on the economy and how his policies have affected it. Happy to see it’s dropped below the 47% or so that usually constitute his base.

Long past time for the idiots who voted for this scum to admit their grievous error and engage in a midnight march on the White Hut armed with torches and pitchforks.

Of course their Frankenstein monster is probably not at home, rather he’s on another vacation. He’s arranged things so that the nation continues to tank even if he’s not around.

Only those with severely diseased brains would think it a good idea to keep this mystery phony around. Just consider what he’s accomplished in a mere 44 months or so. He’s won. He’s brought us and our nation to its knees.

Only a blithering idiot would think we can stick it out to the end of this amateur Marxist’s term.

We need a new leader and party desperately. This leader will eradicate Obozocare, abolish the Federal Reserve, slash the central socialist government to ribbons, get the homosexuals out of the military and take them off their pedestal. We also need to cancel all the ‘pensions’ shoveled into maws of these traitorous dogs. No perks for Obozo, Congressrats and bureaucrats; just get the hell out of town and find somewhere to hide.

Madrid, 1936-1940 comes to mind.

IMO, it does not faze zero in the least. If the rats take over the house and keep the senate, it will truly mean the end of America as we knew it.

And prior to Spain (recall their civil war resulted in the rule of Franco for decades) ... the demise of the Weimar Republic and what that led to ...

There have been some reports this summer of deteriorating economic numbers from areas that had been recovering from the last recession and at least holding their own in the face of The Obama Economy because of local policies 180° from The One’s.

Localities and states can apparently hang on only so long in the face of a full out attack on the economy as conducted by Obama and his minions.

That was exactly what I was going to write, but you beat me to it. Sadly, it is so true. That is why Obama does not worry about these polls in the least.

In respect to the demise of the Weimar Republic, it is my belief that its failure and Hitler’s subsequent ascendency to the chancellorship was due to what unfairly happened to Germany as a result of WWI. The beginning of the War was such a convoluted mess that meaningful blame was impossible to assign.

Germany was seriously abused by the asinine reparations assessed which bankrupted and starved its economy and its people.

Now, as far as Franco’s rule is concerned after the defeat of the communists and the Russian commissars who attempted to run Spain from Madrid and through a puppet government, it is my belief that Spain was a hell of a lot better off under the generalissimo.

Perhaps the only way America can crawl out from under the weight of this dead regime is through the efforts of a strongman who is, like Franco, a benevolent despot.

So what? Is approval ratings can go to zero and we are still stuck with this puke. Re-electing this POS was national suicide
