At the bottom of this post you will find a list of congressional town halls for the next week. It is important that you stay focused because Republican leaders are about to dangle shiny objects in front of you knowing that, like with a sardine dangling in the spotlight of a circus big tent, the GOP leaders can get you to clap like a seal.

Republican Leaders are preparing a series of shiny objects to distract you.

You must stay focused.

Shiny object number one will be the GOP grandstanding to get Planned Parenthood’s navigator grant rescinded. The Administration gave Planned Parenthood money to help get people signed up for Obamacare. Watch for Republican Leaders to rally against that, express their outrage, and demand it be rescinded.

The second shiny object is Tom Coburn’s Congressional Research Service Report saying a government shutdown won’t stop Obamacare going forward. Well, no one is claiming otherwise. Hell, none of the defunding advocates want to shut down the government. What they want is to defund Obamacare. There’s an important distinction here that Coburn, McConnell, and others are dangling in front of you. If Barack Obama shuts down the government in lieu of defunding Obamacare, yes the law’s clock proceeds. But if the GOP holds the line and passes a continuing resolution that defunds Obamacare, then the law’s implementation stops. Barack Obama may shut down the government to try to get the GOP to cave, but the GOP simply need not blink. It’s a difference Republican leaders hope you don’t notice.

The final shiny object is the big one. Republican Leaders are set to cave on defunding Obamacare. Senator Mitch McConnell, who spoke against a continuing resolution at the end of 2010 because it funded Obamacare will not only not speak against the upcoming continuing resolution, he is now on record saying he will fund Obamacare.

Eric Cantor, the House Majority Leader, will also vote to fund Obamacare.

They fund it, they own it. No mercy after that.

Here’s an idea: Why not split the continuing resolution up, then pass the more popular and necessary bits of the federal government such as Military, SS/Medicare, Departments, ect..

Then force the Commies in the Senate ~not~ to vote on these bills, or even to bring them up?

We’d be in a much better position, no?

2014 - Bye Bye GOP, you have a choice whether you want to be the opposition party or not

We are a One Party State after that

Because your choice is obvious.

The enemy is neither Democrat nor Republican -— the enemy is the member of Congress who has made a career out of what was supposed to have been a few years of good and faithful service.

22 out of 535 Senators and Reps - that’s a pi$$ poor percentage. Only 4.1% of our representatives care enough about the people who pay for all their perks to face them.

The answer is don’t vote for them. Mike Castle lost his chance at the Senate because he refused to meet with people in townhall meetings. The establishment was so mad they voted for a Marxist. They deserve what they got. The rest of us deserve better.

Rubio says he will be sponsoring a Late Term Abortion ban in the Senate as a way to distract conservatives from Amnesty. I’m sure that Rubio push the Abortion ban with as much effort as he pushed for Amnesty. / s

That is what I noted...only 22???

Where are the other meetings?? Oh yeah, it is the ruling class, so they don’t care to hear from the subjects.

The fact of the matter is that when the folks perceive the Rats are in charge the RINOs want to make sure everyone knows how rotten and corrupt they are. They don’t really care much but they know WE do so they do everything they can to be the opposition. When folks perceive the RINOs to be “in charge” the Rats do the same thing to them. Fact is neither of them care much because there isn’t much difference in the things they are attempting to do “for” (to) us so it matters little to them either way.
