The New York Times website was down Wednesday morning because of "technical difficulties," the newspaper said.
Users trying to access nytimes.com were greeted by an error message.
The New York Times, via its Twitter feed, did not give an explanation but urged reader to follow its @nytimesworld. New York Times reporters and editors were apparently caught off-guard and began tweeting.

I guess after getting slammed by the NYTs the Clintons called the inventor of the Internet, Al Bore, to get their web site shut down.
How convenient. Just as there’s a story that reflects bad on the Clintons and hurts her royal thighness’s chances at usurping the throne.
