"President of the United States" is not an entry level position. Even if your previous career was "Brain Surgeon." The skill sets are different.He was also a department head in a department of egomaniacs in an institution that is world-renowned. That's more experience than a community organizer.

Nope. Not enough. I like Carson, but he's never been elected to something, and that's important too. Yes, his executive experience is better than "community organizer" (Sarah Palin had that beat), but just because the Rats run inexperienced people doesn't mean we can.
