That birther issue just won’t die. The latest Republican congressman to deal with the fringest of fringe issues is Markwayne Mullin, a first-termer from Oklahoma, who was confronted by a self-described “birther princess” during a town hall. After Mullin dismissed it as a “dead issue,” the woman approached him and insisted he needs to take this seriously. In response, Mullin told her, “Honestly, I don’t even give a shit.”

Good for him. Now they are absurdly going after Ted Cruz, despite his clear eligibility. Win back the Senate and impeach Obama. The "birther" route is a judicial road to nowhere.
He admitted it wasn’t legitimate the Birther certificate of Obama but then slams the issue. He said we lost by Obama being re-elected. The Rep said he wasn’t defending Obama, but he also agrees with you the left wants to make it an issue. He says the people screaming the issue is no good. The woman said Obama is not being held accountable and is above the law. The rep says it has nothing to do with that and the chance passed to do something about Obama’s past. He says the argument was lost.
I’m with Mullins, the birth cert is a red herring that keeps the focus off the college records.
I think he was born in HI, but styled himself as foreign born to fraudulently gain various grants and stipends available to foreign students.

What I don’t understand is why some folks thought Obama was not a natural born citizen but Cruz is. Cruz was born in Canada and Obama claims to be born in the USA.
Some argue that Cruz is a natural born citizen because his mother was a US citizen. Obama’s mother was a US citizen too.

No, but you have to pick your battles. Where will you get the most return on your time and energy? Short of some drastic revelation, the birth certificate issue is not going anywhere.
