There is also the fact that the children of immigrants will have no interest in paying higher taxes to support retirees who didn’t have kids or save up all that money they blew on the high life.
I can’t remember which Darwin relative said it, but he expected contraception to be bred out by Darwinian selection - because it only took a generation or two for those who don’t want to have kids to be rapidly replaced by those who do.
