IF they can pay for it, that is fine. Put ‘em on the list, give ‘em the transplant, cash the check, deport them.
If they can’t pay for it, they should get NOTHING, but deported.

I don’t understand how the fly kids from mexico for transplants without any issue. Is it because they need to go to mexico to be put on the list?

LOL!
Nicely stated. If they eat, they are probably eating food bought with an EBT card. Which they are not supposed to be eligible to get, but do. And my taxes, food and gas costs go up to pay for.

I wish my friends son could get his life saving insulin free.
Maybe if so many illegals weren't getting free dialysis, and transplants, and drugs...actual USA citizens who do pay for taxes and healthcare, could afford them.

Is the Catholic Church paying for any of the medical procedures they organize protests for, and demand taxpaying citizens of sovereign nations pay for, worldwide?
No?
Didn't think so.

Perhaps these illegals in Chicago should illegally immigrate to Italy, and get on the transplant list there.
Or perhaps my friends son should illegally immigrate to Italy, and then he could get free healthcare...is that also a no?

I hear ya.

Can't argue with that. I agree.

A lot of organizations champion things they don't have to pay for. We seem to be responsible for the planet, no matter what our conditions here are turning into.

We all know, these people wouldn't get these sorts of freebies anywhere else in the world. And for that matter, neither would we. Heck, their own country won't help them.

They don’t just want to redistribute your wealth - now they want your extra organs!

Probably through some wrinkle of Obamacare, they’ll get moved to the front of the line.

As a caregiver to my spouse who is listed by UNOS for a liver transplant, there seems to be some information lacking in this thread.

To be listed is a long and grueling process to go through. You would have to be healthy in every other aspect or you won't qualify. Organs may not be available when a person reaches the transplant stage. Also, once listed for a transplant, one can be de-listed for many reasons. Many waiting for transplants die while hoping for that phone call.

It isn't as simple as writing a check to pay for it.

Yes.

"people in need of kidney and liver transplants, along with family and friends, have been on a weeklong hunger strike"

Uh, yeah, that's JUST what your failing kidneys and livers need.

No food or water.

THAT'LL show the bastards!

Whaaah...my already diseased organs have now been damaged beyond where a transplant would even help?

And meaning I'm not eligible for a transplant anymore because I have shown evidence that I'm irresponsible?

Whaaaah...
