The two top conservative leaders, per Rush, are Cruz and Palin—but they didn’t make the BORe’s poll.

The GOP is dead and is no longer a viable mechanism for selecting a national candidate.

They will promote that turd Christie or Jeb Bush and it will be their last national election.

The grand poo-bahs have already decided on Jebbie, and they hate it that he can’t win, but it’s “his turn”, even Mitt says so.

It will probably be Christie, or Rubio.

“Louis Gomez” ??

I’m guessing that it’s Texas Congressman Louis Gohmert you’re thinking of.

He’s a good man.

I doubt if he becomes a presidential candidate, though.

Chris Christie ... He is the perfect candidate, exactly what the republicans want. Pals with Obama, ok on immigration and gays...a good, solid middle-of-the-roader that will get all the Independent votes and Hispanic votes. The perfect choice...just like McCain and Romney. (Wanna' bet I'm wrong?)

“someone else” > Scott Walker, Wisconsin Governor

About time his name came up.

I am amazed that the only people that ever get mentioned are in Congress. They make really bad Presidential candidates and even worse Presidents.

Gotta read the question to ensure an accurate answer.

Sounds like people read it as "who would you LIKE to see lead the Republican Party". Great. That brought out the conservatives and libertarians. I'd have wanted a Cruz option if I watched O'Bloviator (which I do not).

As for who I foresee leading the Republican Party, which is what the question asked, remember the Romney/Priebus operation runs it. I think that person, who I won't name but whose initials are "J.B.", will be in the saddle, or at least a kingmaker, at the end.

I also don't think that's a very good thing for the Republican Party. At all.

Does not much matter to me, as I no longer consider myself a Republican.

There is only one leader for the GOP: Sarah Palin.

She has cleaned out GOP hornets nest before.

She is what is needed in DC.

Everyone else, save a few, are compromised in some way. That is why they are so cowardly in the face of naked lawlessness by this President and his corrupt Administration, which makes Warren Harding and his crew look like choirboys.

If the GOP spurns her once again, we form another party. After all, what is there to lose?

I am done being the abused spouse for the GOP. I left them right after the election last year.

They failed to save America, and I doubt they will correct their problems before the last election to keep this country in 2014.

Meh—the GOPe and Roves’ polls all say Christie. They’re working overtime to get their boy a head start.

Assuming the Clinton-hating Dems don't get to him first.

Laura does not like Christie.

It doesn’t matter any more. Only God will fix this mess.
There is no man or woman who can do it now. We need to quit fooling ourselves.
