What difference does it make? Any good principled candidate will be a real conservative and will be outside the Republican Party. Actually the only one in place for the Republican nomination is Jeb Bush. No one else seems to be actually running yet and a serious candidate has to be running throuth a couple of election cycles before the one that gets him tne Nom.Even Reagan did that. He ran hard for 10-12 years, getting his support lined up. Tthe Conservatives are dithering.

Lead? Trying not to laugh. No one I am going to care about. There are no leaders in this republican party. I am inclined to sit back and let the dem-o-criminals take it all until it all comes tumbling down. Then perhaps real patriot leaders will step up. That’s even doubtful. This war is lost. GOP are Whigs to me. Think for a moment where we might be if Fred had stuck it out, smacked down McPain, and then washed the walls with Obama. He caved. Nope, there are no leaders any longer. My hope has changed. Just going to teach my kids to survive the storms.

I personally don’t care what a guy looks like. Heck, I voted for Perot, sorry to say ... but given the choice we had at the time ....

Bolton is a good talker; but is he a leader? And even if he is, he’ll never get past GO.

Might as well tell Weiner to switch parties and put him up. At least it would be fun to watch. /Sarc

I saw Laura Ingraham on BOR excited to report some poll which had Christie as a top favorite for Republicans & Democrats.

I saw that and unless I’m mistaken, Laura was happy that Christie only had 7% favorability.

Ok. I didn’t watch more after hearing that plus I was wary Karl Rove might be the next guest and that was too much to endure.

Bolton would make a better Sec. of Defense but folks are scared of him and his T. Roosevelt moustache. He is a true conservative but no GOP lackey and here, he may be seen as a renegade, like Palin. I think he talks plain sense but maybe to honest to run?

“The GOPe will not be happy with this poll.”

Meh—the GOPe and Roves’ polls all say Christie. They’re working overtime to get their boy a head start.

Ted Cruz is one of the very few people in Washington willing to stand by his principles regardless of the political cost. That kind of leadership is rare. We could do a whole lot worse than him.

These are designed to give prominence to half a dozen or more candidates so the primary vote will again get split.

Conservatives need to settle on only one candidate going forward into the primaries. That candidate might not even have emerged yet.

What is needed is a pre-primary means of narrowing down to one conservative candidate.

My first Choice is Rick Santorum, second would be Michele Bachmann. My third and really excited about would be Louis Gomez. Any of those three would be perfect. In fact a ticket with two out of three would be incredible. All the rest mentioned are blah.

He did NOTHING as UN Secretary. I am not impressed with him at all.

While I think we have to be very careful not to become isolationist in the 1930s mode, Rand Paul’s message of a reduced global military footprint and, most importantly greatly limiting spying and totalitarian surveillance-—particularly as younger people are concerned-—is a national winner.

Good gawd man. Santorum and Bachmann were horrendous candidates. Cruz, Paul and Palin are the future of conservativism not the two you mentioned.

Saddest post I have read. FIrst of all, Paul sucks with foreign affairs. Cruz is one year in. Palin I do like but will see if she runs.
