group of House Republicans has called for a criminal investigation into whether Jon Corzine, a former Democratic governor and senator from New Jersey, lied before Congress in 2011.

In a letter to Attorney General Eric Holder on Friday, the 18 lawmakers said that new evidence revealed in a civil case against Corzine contradicts his congressional testimony and may indicate he committed perjury.

"It is outrageous and unacceptable to let this discrepancy go without a formal criminal investigation," Rep. Michael Grimm (R-N.Y.), the lead signatory of the letter, said in a statement. "Mr. Corzine has a duty to be honest with the customers from whom he stole money as well as the Members of Congress to whom he testified. Any refusal to move forward with an investigation would be a gross injustice.”

They’re wasting their time. Talking to THIS DOJ about potential crimes committed by DemocRATS is like talking to a fire hydrant.

I remember during Governor Corzine's re-election run in 2009, our esteemed Vice President Biden gave this immortal endorsement about this Administration's dealing with the financial crisis; "[The] first guy we called for economic advice was Jon Corzine - No joke, no joke!"

So what are the chances that the Obama/Holder DoJ will act against someone whose advice they obviously took to solve this financial crisis? After all, the economy is recovering, right?
