US Embassies to Close Sunday Amid Terrorist Threat

U.S. embassies in a slew of Muslim countries will close on Sunday due to a credible and serious security threat.

The embassies will close in response to "a specific threat against a U.S. embassy or consulate," according to a senior U.S. official, who called it a "concerted effort" to target an embassy or consulate in a Muslim country.

"We just don't know which one," the official told ABC News.

"There could be other targets, not just embassies," another U.S. official said. The threat is considered to be throughout the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia.

Some of the biggest U.S. embassies will close, including those in Egypt, Iraq, Qatar, Bahrain and Kuwait, where tens of thousands of U.S. troops are based. The U.S. embassy in Afghanistan will also close. So will embassies in Dhaka, Bangladesh; Amman, Jordan; Muscat, Oman; Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; Algiers, Algeria; Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates; Sana'a, Yemen; and Tripoli, Libya, according to security warnings issued by those embassies. Two consulates in Saudi Arabia will also close, in Dharan and Jeddah, as will a consulate in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

The State Department has instructed all U.S. embassies that would normally be open this Sunday to close, according to a senior State Department official. U.S. embassies in Muslim countries are typically open on Sundays, while others are not. Most U.S. embassies will be closed this Sunday in keeping with normal hours of operation.

I saw a clip of a Korean talk show with subs. They were telling on each other and one of them said one of them was snapping pics in the dressing room.

The host asked her if she kept them.

She said yes and she will use them if she needs to.

Just close all US embassies in countries ruled by Muslims, transport all US employees who are citizens back to the US, cut the funding for the State Dept., fire the idiots in the State Dept., ....THEN, wipe out the Muslim extremists in those countries!

Looks like SMART Diplomacy has completely failed, to include the reset button with Putin. The reasons for such a shut down can be traced to an arrogance in the foreign service. Each foreign service officer thinks they are alone are smartest person in the room; nearly everyone of them is a backbiting ladder climber who would through their spouse under the bus for an award or promotion, or plumb assignment. Coupled with the real world threats, throw in an unhealthy dose of fantasy where social change in American is exported in the for exporting homosexuality, there is the perfect storm brewing. Also, these whiz kids “feel” everything and not prone to thinking or if politically incorrect they disregard in their analysis those inconvenient facts - The DoS is in trouble for more reasons than the threats facing them now that Hillary, Obama and Kerry has agitated the entire world with our version of social utopia.
