Homeland Security loses track of 1 million foreigners; report could hurt immigration deal

The Homeland Security Department has lost track of more than 1 million people who it knows arrived in the U.S. but who it cannot prove left the country, according to an audit Tuesday that also found the department probably won’t meet its own goals for deploying an entry-exit system.

The findings were revealed as Congress debates an immigration bill, and the Government Accountability Office’s report could throw up another hurdle because lawmakers in the House and Senate have said that any final deal must include a workable system to track entries and exits and cut down on so-called visa overstays.

The government does track arrivals, but is years overdue in setting up a system to track departures — a goal set in a 1996 immigration law and reaffirmed in 2004, but which has eluded Republican and Democratic administrations.

The woman, who has a Chinese passport, arrived in Washington a few days ago and was traveling on an expired visa, prosecutors said. Police said she had no fixed address but that she told officers she lived in Los Angeles.

Sheila Jackson Lee will straighten DHS right out. /S

As to the million “lost,” or more accurately, freed, it isn’t surprising. We’ve heard estimates of illegals present in the US which vary from 11 to 30 million, although the MSM and Congress seem to have settled on the politically convenient lower bound. Losing track of visitors is entirely consistent with our uncertainty about how many non-citizens are within our borders.

Eluded? Eluded????!? You get in line at customs when you are leaving and have your passport scanned and entered into a computer. This is something that libraries have done with computers for decades when both checking in and checking out books. Even in the movie Argo one of the points was how to sneak people out of Iran when their fake IDs didn't have paper records matching their entry, and that was in Iran 34 years ago. Things like this aren't done only because those in charge don't really want them done.

These are people who entered legally, at one time?
I'm sure there are many more than one million illegals here who never showed their passport to anyone.

Now we know that illegal alien invasion was a cornerstone of GWB’s “Compassionate Conservatism.”

____________________________

Our tolerance for debt-based welfare to immigrants is equal to our tolerance for the debt that we are willing to pass onto our children and grandchildren.

Reduce our tolerance for debt-based Federal Programs, and our tolerance for immigration will also be reduced.

_____________

Our Southern Border is under the control of Mexican Drug Gangs. An illegal attempt by AG Holder to challenge their grip failed with Fast and Furious.

Obama has allowed INS officials to increase the number of “got-aways” and to decrease the number of illegal alien invaders actually caught.

Gullible News outlets, such as The Wall Street Journal routinely run articles quoting Obamanation statistics that numbers of captured illegal alien invaders are down, and thus there is no such thing as the surge of illegal alien invaders from Mexico and other Southern Hemisphere Socialist Countries.

Most News outlets refuse to come to our Southern Border to document their obviously false assertions.

Most State Politicians cower when our sorry NINE SUPREMES dictate that the State has no authority to protect itself from illegal alien invaders.

As long as THE NINE SUPREMES have 4 Socialist Judges, there will always be a high risk that some gullible Judge from the Majority will cross over to the dark side and continue the destruction of our US Constitution as the signature accomplishment of the US Welfare State. Traitor John Roberts’ support of Obama’care’ is the most horrific example.

Thus, it is incumbent upon those of us who still value the US Constitution to oppose the dark side, what we now call Obamanation.

________________________

The purpose of passing a Federal “reform” immigration bill this year is to allow illegal alien invaders from Mexico, and other Central and South American Socialist Countries, to vote for Socialist-Democrats and appeasing RINOs in the 2014 and 2016 USA National Elections for more debt-generating welfare to future illegal alien invaders to become future Socialist-Democrat voters.

These future Socialist-Democrat voters should be called “McCain-Rubio Democrats,” as no other Senators have done more to encourage gullible RINOs to appease and otherwise cave-in to debt-dependent Democrats than these two sorry RINO Senators.

Stand your ground, FReepers! Raise the Gadsden Battle Flag!

It is us against the gullible supporters of Obamanation!

For example:

While Rubio and his Eight Senate Gangsters put out political smoke and mirrors to “get a bill passed this year,” nothing they have said will change the basic problem of aliens illegally invading the USA.

The Basic Problem: Illegal aliens invade the USA for Welfare and Wages.

Solutions that address the Basic Problem:

1.) End the Anchor Baby Law.

2.) End the Hospital Emergency Room No Payment Law (EMTALA).

3.) End ANY other Welfare to Aliens.

4.) Fine US employers $1,000 per day per employee who is an alien.

5.) Spend NO money on “securing the border.” It is a bottomless money pit.

6.) Spend money on Chainlink/ Concertina wire desert prisons for the EXISTING Federal Law for a mandatory 6 month imprisonment for repeat offenders who have invaded our Country more than once.

7.) Transfer Border Invasion Enforcement to the US National Guard in each State, and thus under the control of the Governor of each State. The less Federal involvement, the better.

8.) Repeal all State and Federal Laws that prohibit voter officials and Police from requesting proof of US Citizenship for any reason what so ever.

9.) Be as hostile to all illegal alien invaders as we should be to all Federal politicians and Federal Judges who vote for or support another Ted Kennedy-style amnesty bill with no significant Federal enforcement.

Contact your local TEA Party, and plan to kick the sorry RINOs and even sorrier Democrats out of Congress in 2014!

It is all about the money FReepers, YOUR tax money.

I doubt that Homeland Security could find their ass with both hands and a flashlight.

But don’t worry Sheila Lee will straighten this out.

If they say they lost track of one million that means they don’t really know the true number.

It’s probably more like three million, five million or ten million.

But as long as NSA and DHS is keeping track of Military Vets, Bitter Clingers, Christians, Gun Owners and Obama Critics there is no need for concern.

Everyone thinks the illegals are all Mexican, but the west coast is overrun with Asians and I bet many of them are in this category.

1 million? Is that all? In what timeframe are they counting this as a DHS statistic? How many million altogether?

I don’t know how “Homeland Security” is allowed to get away with this. When people here carry on about illegal immigrants sneaking over the Southern border, what they are ignoring is the fact that most of the immigrants who have committed terrorist attacks against us came here legally, on visas where they theoretically had to get prior vetting, and then overstayed their visas without any problem or even any attempt being made to find them. And the ones that didn’t overstay their visas either became citizens (such as the Tsarnaev brothers) before their attacks or were ignored even when they were contacting terrorists and “Homeland Security” theoretically knew where they were because they were still on valid visas.

My contention all along is that we have to look at the LEGAL immigrants we have here, that is, our standards for admitting them, and then our way of ensuring that they indeed belong here and are behaving themselves once they get through the door.

But because they’re mostly Muslims or from Muslim countries, they’re a politically protected class and we can’t look at them very closely. It’s not fair to Muslims, you know, just because they happen to commit 99.9% of the terrorist attacks in this country (and most of those in the world).

The U.S. Government will let anyone in here...

Just a few months ago the government gave hundreds of thousands in food stamps, welfare, and other tax paid prizes to the marathon terrorist.

It was also discovered Bush's Homeland Security Boss Chertoff, had people who'd entered the country illegally, wandering around the inside of his private residence....During war time.

Losing people isn't possible unless they have no piece of paper at customs/immigration where people have written where they are going in this country, an actual address, which is checked at customs.

My son has lived in London for over 20 years and I have been there several times. When I get off the airplane, I have to go through customs/immigration and my passport is checked to see who I am and that I'm not wanted somewhere. Then, I have to write the address where I am going and when I am leaving. The address is checked to affirm it is a legal address and I have to identify who I am visiting so they have my son's name and address. I guarantee you if I overstay my time, they will find me. Unless they lose all that documentation, they know who I am and when I am leaving.

So, how could Homeland Security lose people enough they don't know who they are or where they are? That makes no sense - they should at least have the documentation made with those people entered the country. Where is that documentation with names?

If we can't do that in this computer world, Homeland Security needs get out of the passport/immigration/customs business and someone else get the responsibility for people coming in. Geesh, what crap.

In business, you fire people long before things get this out of hand, in government, you hire more idiots because you have lost control of your business.

Government needs to be held responsible. Defund Homeland Security, because they are making the “Homeland” insecure.
Close down the Justice Department because they are unjust, fire everyone in congress who “voted for a bill to see what is in it”.Defund the Government till it comes up with a realistic budget. Its just common sense. Obviously the people currently in charge are massively corrupt and incompetent.
