A head on collision involving two commuter trains in Switzerland has resulted in the injury of 44 people.

The collision occurred between the cities of Moudon and Payerne at about 6:50 p.m. local time, reports said. It is unclear at this point what caused the collision to occur.

"We don't know why this crash happened," Swiss Federal Railways spokesman Reto Schaerli told CNN. "There is currently no train service between these two cities until midnight tonight at least."

First the train crash in France, then Spain and now Switzerland. Anyone else feeling the “Happenstance/Coincidence/Enemy Action” vibe?

Actually first was in Paris, with a derailment, I was in Paris when it happened, in fact that very same day earlier we had taken the TGV from Lyon to Paris.

"We don't know why this crash happened,"

1. Two trains

2. Same track

3. Same time frame

4. Opposite directions

If a train leaves Paris headed east at 137 MPH, and another train leaves Bern headed west at 141 MPH, how many joints do the engineers have to smoke in order to ensure a head-on collision killing all aboard?

Can’t wait for some hack to chime in and assure us that this happens all the time, but the media is just hyping it up.

That’s a hell of a way to run a railroad.

This is really out of character for the Swiss. They are usually so meticulous.

Al-Qaeda’s new hacking strategy? Trains are far more automated than they use to be.

Mussolini had the trains running on time without any crashes.

Now THAT’s the fascist efficiency we need in Amerikkka to get our economy running again!

Its a trick question. Trains in Switzerland and France measure speed in kilometers.

Thanks! Very cool.

What makes him extra cool is how can hold that cigarette in his picking hand while he plays. Even Eric Clapton has to put his between the headstock and strings while he plays.
