HARRISBURG, Pennsylvania (Reuters) - A judge on Monday will start hearing evidence against three former Penn State officials accused of covering up an early report that coach Jerry Sandusky sexually abused a child, allowing him to molest boys for years...........
The three university officials are Graham Spanier, 65, who was fired as president amid the scandal that rocked the high-stakes world of college football; Athletic Director Tim Curley, 59, who was placed on administrative leave, and retired Senior Vice President Gary Schultz, 63.
At the hearing in Dauphin County Court, both sides will argue their case stemming from a November 2012 grand jury report. Harrisburg District Judge William Wenner will decide if there is enough evidence to bring the case to trial.
The grand jury accused Spanier, Curley and Schultz of failing to alert authorities after Mike McQueary, an assistant football coach, told school officials in 2001 that he saw Sandusky sexually abusing a boy in a locker room shower.
Prosecutors said the "conspiracy of silence" permitted Sandusky to continue preying on boys, most of whom he met through a charity he founded for at-risk youth.
Sandusky was arrested in November 2011 and charged with molesting boys. A year later, in November 2012, a grand jury charged Spanier, Curley and Schultz with endangering the welfare of children, criminal conspiracy and obstruction of justice. Spanier also was charged with perjury.
Curley and Schultz were previously charged in November 2011 with perjury and failure to report suspected abuse. Within weeks of Sandusky's arrest, Penn State Trustees fired Spanier, at the time the nation's highest-paid public university president.....
Spanier's lawyers also have served legal notice that they intend to file defamation charges against Louis Freeh, a former director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.........

Expecting FlaJoPa in 3, 2, 1......
Hopefully all the people Freeh was not allowed to interview will be subpoenaed and we will find out just how far this went.
There has been a lot of time for everyone to destroy evidence and get all their stories lined out.....most likely the whole sordid truth well never be known!!!
The truth will be known someday, just maybe not in this life. I imagine JoePa is sharing a nice crispy bench with Teddy "the swimmer"...
That’s a very long bench!!!!!
I wish they would go to jail.
Bombshell: MBNA bank while Freeh was co-chair and general counsel was major corporate sponsor of Jerry Sandusky and Second Mile.

and it appears that Louie Freeh bought the principals at TSM enough time to destroy all records and cover all trails.
The Martins said the same thing about Zimmerman.
But everybody is theoretically innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Let’s see what comes out in court.
As this case is lining up the prosecution’s star witness is turning out to have the same credibility problems as Witness 8.
There is big money involved here. Penn State is a money machine. It is apples and oranges to Zimmerman.
But several legal experts said the current case faces major hurdles. There are questions about what the men knew about the abuse and what their responsibility to report it was. Moreover, it is unclear whether prosecutors will be able to admit evidence that could be key to their case.
“This was never an easy case from the beginning,” said Bruce Antkowiak, a law professor at Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, Pa., and a former assistant U.S. Attorney in Pittsburgh.
If the case proceeds to trial, as many legal experts expect, it could reshape the public’s understanding of the matter. “There is this very ugly cloud over Penn State,” said Wes Oliver, a law professor at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh. “Imagine all three of these guys were acquitted, I think that is a game changer for how we look back at this event.”

It has always seemed to me that Sandusky was the low level pimp for the really wealthy people he provided the boys to. Ray Gricar probably knew the truth also.
Yep —
The fact that the then Pa Attorney General could allow Sandusky’s Second Mile charity to just shut down, destroy all records, and move out of state in the midst of the Sandusky investigation was/is more than sleezy.
And then add to that the hiring of Louis Freeh who had for years been raising money for Sandusky’s Second Mile charity and the sleeze just keeps oozing.
You should go to the AG with the names of the wealthy who the kids were “ pimped out” to. Also let the Gricar family know Roy’s death had nothing to do with the mob investigation he was in the midst of and let them know who at Penn State murdered him. You could be of great help in this case.
