A Bethesda man was beaten and robbed early Saturday morning in Adams Morgan by three men who yelled, “This is for Trayvon Martin,” before attacking him, police said.
The incident is being investigated as a hate crime and robbery, according to D.C. police spokesman Araz Alali.
Three black men approached an adult white male from behind while he was walking in the 1700 block of Euclid Street NW at 1:26 a.m. Saturday, police said.

p.s., I work a great deal in downtown Vallejo and deal with black business owners all day. My job is to help them grow their businesses. I have no trepidation working with them, and they have no problems working with me. But you’re crazy if you think I’m not wary when I see a group of 3 or 4 young black males hanging out in front of a liquor store or a gas station after sunset....
This is the best reason for why all of us should have their two best friends (SMITH & WESSON) along with them when they are just going out for a walk. These three perps wouldn’t be walking around anymore, the city would be a lot safer, without these three. The country would be rid of three more animals.

Really? Seems like it's always a pack of black guys attacking a non-black person, usually a white person. My dog can crack this pattern.
How dumb are the Trayvonistas? As long as the don’t yell “This is for Trayvon!”, the police could pawn off this hate crime as “a robbery gone wrong” or “just bored teens” like they do for the multitude of other times that black guys mob attack white people. It makes it kind of difficult for police to play ‘hide the hate crime’ when the criminals yell that their purpose is a hate crime.

I hung around with a few West Africans when I was in graduate school quite a few years ago (we were taking the same courses). I went to various parties and events with them. The only time I experienced THE worst looks of unfiltered and unadulterated racial hatred was when I went with my friends to some event for local blacks. Not only was it all platonic, but I had barely walked into the room. If looks could kill....

I have never lived in DC, and have visited only a half-dozen times since 1993, but the distinct impression, generally, is that one does not wander around anywhere alone within those 68 square miles after dark; certainly not at 1:30 am.
