Did George Zimmerman Get Away With Murder? (Surprising from this source)
Slate ^ | July 26, 2013 | William Saletan

Robin Roberts interviews Juror B29, the only minority juror from the George Zimmerman trial, on an episode of "Good Morning America" that aired July 26, 2013.

Did George Zimmerman get away with murder? That’s what one of his jurors says, according to headlines in the New York Times, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, Chicago Tribune, and dozens of other newspapers. Trayvon Martin’s mother and the Martin family’s attorney are trumpeting this “new information” as proof that “George Zimmerman literally got away with murder.”

The reports are based on an ABC News interview with Juror B29, the sole nonwhite juror. She has identified herself only by her first name, Maddy. She’s been framed as the woman who was bullied out of voting to convict Zimmerman. But that’s not true. She stands by the verdict. She yielded to the evidence and the law, not to bullying. She thinks Zimmerman was morally culpable but not legally guilty. And she wants us to distinguish between this trial and larger questions of race and justice.

ABC News hasn’t posted a full unedited video or transcript of the interview. The video that has been broadcast—on World News Tonight, Nightline, and Good Morning America—has been cut and spliced in different ways, often so artfully that the transitions appear continuous. So beware what you’re seeing. But the video that’s available already shows, on closer inspection, that Maddy has been manipulated and misrepresented. Here are the key points.

1. The phrase “got away with murder” was put in her mouth. Nightline shows ABC interviewer Robin Roberts asking Maddy: “Some people have said, ‘George Zimmerman got away with murder. How do you respond to those people who say that?’ ”(continued)

I agree ... which is why I italicized .. "implied that ".

She still used the word ... even after thoughtful reflection.

About half of my family was born & bred in the Philippines. I assure you, the Filipinos I know have ZERO ‘white guilt’.

My wife is a Filipina, and I can assure you, that is 100% true.

Why did she feel the need to even go public?

Interesting effort there, silly goose. I dare say I could be a friend to Maddy, but I will never meet her this side of Heaven. What I do see plainly is that she is low on data and high on emotions and having her emotions manipulated then exploited.

When someone tells me the Martin family is hurting, I ask where it hurts, at which million dollar gain level from exploting st skittle's death does it hurt? Do you think ABC would have another interview with Maddy, once hse finds out just how much the Martin family has exploited the shooting for financial gain and their overexposure in the media? Hah, only if there are viewers like you who can be further manipulated with the game.

Human weakness I would guess. When the media is not seen for what they are, folks tend to believe the media are benign. This woman is probably as low information a voter as they have around most of America. The media have led her down a false trail for so long that she is not able to discern he agenda which she is being manipulated into serving.

I keep going back to the fact that in the end, when the life of George Zimmerman was on the line, she made the correct decision and followed the law. For that she is a good American.

Did you know that the networks all use professional psychological profilers, to give them an idea of how to manipulate out of any guest what is the their (network sycophantic cadre of liars) agenda?

You see the issue at hand. But I knew you would. You've been freeping too long to be too far off the marks.

What is sad is the degree to which this poor gal has been programmed by the media now exploiting her. And she doesn't appear to have a clue regarding their using her shamefully.

Only country in history where a minority race was elected in a democracy as leader.

FYI, I am NOT a viewer of ABC, NBC, CBS, et.al. I wouldn’t know one of their anchors from the next. I get my “news” here or on conservative talk radio. All I know is that she ignited another unnecessary firestorm with her public “Zim got away with murder” comment.

How anyone could sit through that trial, and come out thinking what Zimmerman did was murder is amazing. She is transforming herself from enemy of the radical black people to one of their heroes. Wonder how much money she has been offered.

The good that will come out of this is white people waking up, and recognizing how violent and murderous blacks have become. Projecting the sins of America upon Zimmerman is proving to be a failed policy. The biggest social/cultural problems black Americans face, as well as every American race, is black American militance and violence.

The only person who committed murder here is Trayvon Martin. He committed his own. When you give someone no choice that is called suicide by proxy.

The MSM, left, and race baiters will not give this up.

If this jurour actually thought this, then she easily could have "stood her ground," and created a hung jury. But she did not, instead she voted "NOT GUILTY."

Sadly, we are watching our system be corrupted by racism, sensaltionism, fame, and greed.

Trayvon Martin was punk gangsta wannabe, who was raised for eight years in a household (friend of his mothers) where the male was a Crip. He was into drugs and crime, he had been removed from school for these things three times, and that night he decided it was time to get a little "whitey smackdown," onto his resume.

He was mercilessly beating Zimmerman, and when Zimmerman was able to shinny away from the concrete he bagan to curse him, tellinhg him to shut-up (Zimmerman was screaming, terrified for help), and tried to smother him.

Zimmerma's testimony and the evidence is a rare look into a murderous rage from a guy who survived.

And let's be clear he survived for two reasons.

1) He had a gun.
2) He reached a point where he was willing to use it.

Zimmerman defended his life and was found not guilty by a jury.

Now you have one of the jurors, in essence telling the whole world that she was a weak, immoral person, who lied, or, she found correctly and now believes she can cash in on it.

Again, if she really thought that "he got away with murder," when the principle charge they were to review was on the charge of second degree murder, then she is either a liar, a absolutely morally weak person, or is seeking to cash in.

Pure Bravo Sierra.

ZIMMERMAN IS NOT GUILTY

I guarantee you in fifty years time, if libs are still dominating the media (and they probably still will), they’ll be pushing the “blacks victimized by white racists” line. Even if the country if 50% “minority” by that time. There’s too much invested in the scam for them to ever quit.

We all need to read the article, it emphasizes that some of her thoughts were led by the interviewer (surprise). She also says that it shouldn’t have gne to trial, it was a publicity stunt. Lets be the informed, evaluating conservatives that we are proud to be.

If there is one phrase that makes me see red it's

“Some people have said..

What the interviewer is really saying is , "I think...".

It appears that what she said, and what you think she said, may be two different things. That is the point of Saletan’s article.

She looks Filipino.

She’s most likely a diversity mutt like most “black” people are.

I’m a European American mutt. German, Irish, Scott, Brit etc. These European tribes were not all crazy about one another when America was first settled.

The liberal’s modern race game is for absolute idiots.
