Uh Ho: Obama Says Vietnamese Dictator Inspired by Founding Fathers
Fox News ^ | July 26, 2013 | Chris Stirewalt

" ... we discussed the fact that Ho Chi Minh was actually inspired by the U.S. Declaration of Independence and Constitution, and the words of Thomas Jefferson."

President Obama talking to reporters alongside Vietnamese President Truong Tan Sang.

It may come as some unwelcome news to the families of the nearly 60,000 Americans who died in the Vietnam War that the whole thing was just a misunderstanding.

That was the impression President Obama gave on Thursday when he spoke to the press after his meeting with Vietnamese President Truong Tan Sang. Sang brought Obama a copy of a letter sent to President Harry Truman from Ho Chi Minh in which the communist dictator spoke hopefully of cooperation with the United States.

I know Uncle Ho was a student of George Washington's guerrilla warfare, but this seems like a stretch

Interesting that Communist Vietnam wanted their own “colonies” in Indochina, remember they invaded Cambodia in 1979.

Fidel Castro loved to read Abraham Lincoln.

But, it doesn't mean much if they don't emulate good men.

All Obama is trying to do is glom on to somebody else's positive character traits because he has none of his own.

Classic psychopathic trait.

"Because I know that's the popular version of what went on down there. I know a lot of people like to believe that. I wish I could, but I was THERE!"

So what he is saying, is that the North Vietnamese thought more of our Founders and Founding Documents, than he does.  I can believe that.

He's sorta, kinda, partly right. It's true that Ho Chi Minh, while living in France under the name Nguyễn Ái Quốc, was part of a group Vietnamese nationalists that petitioned the Great Powers meeting in Versailles for more rights for the Indochinese people, and that they quoted the Declaration of Independence while doing so. But within a year or two Ho had beat feet for Communist Russia and never looked back. So any influence our Founding Fathers had on him was fleeting at best, and soon replaced by the influence of the Soviet Union founding fathers.

Even those who wallow in foolishness are embarrassed by this man.

Keeping in mind that liberals are far beyond foolishness, in a realm that defies definition, a common fool being in a superior state of mind.

He knows he can’t list his parents’ (and his own) heroes Stalin, Castro and Mao, but Ho is still safe, his crimes are not as well known.

Oh.... My..... God.....

Just when you think this little bitch cant get any lower, he just lets something like this fly or puts forth some unpatriotic gesture and easily lowers himself even more.

I’ll tell ya, if our country has ever had any enemies, he at the very least seems like he has a sympathetic ear for them....

My father, having fought those wicked little bastards will just LOVE reading about THIS one!

What’s even scarier is that the vast majority of this low-info country will buy it.

Obama's thinking apparently never progressed past his freshmen year US history class.

Thats when they spew this crap into kids' brains. Without providing context or anything else that might help the students properly process the info, of course.

If I remember correctly, he went over to Russia after we rejected his request for assistance.

Obama is a POS communist dictator wannabe, and he’s envious of the vietnmanese communists. No wonder why hanoi jane and juan mc cain are so in love with him.

I take it that he was inspired. People can be inspired to do the opposite of someone else. NObama was inspired to destroy this country by being the polar opposite of our FF. That is exactly what he meant.

President BARACK OBAMA was invited to address a major gathering of the American Indian Nation in upstate New York.

He spoke for almost an hour about his plans for increasing every Native American’s present standard of living. He referred to his time as a U.S. Senator and how he had voted for every Native American issue that came to the floor of the Senate.

Although President Obama was vague about the details of his plans, he seemed most enthusiastic and spoke eloquently about his ideas for helping his “red sisters and brothers.”

At the conclusion of his speech, the Tribes presented Obama with a plaque inscribed with his new Indian name, “Walking Eagle.” The proud President then departed in his motorcade to a fundraiser, waving to the crowds.

A news reporter later asked the group of chiefs how they came to select the new name they had given to the President.

They explained that “Walking Eagle” is the name given to a bird so full of crap it can no longer fly.
