Deposed Egyptian president held in prison break probe

(Reuters) - Egyptian authorities have detained deposed President Mohamed Mursi for 15 days over an array of accusations, including killing soldiers and conspiring with the Palestinian group Hamas, the state news agency said on Friday.

The report came just hours before millions of Egyptians were expected to take to the streets in mass rallies for and against Egypt's first freely elected leader, who was ousted by the military on July 3.

Friday's step provided legal grounds for the continued detention of Mursi, who has been held by the military since he was ousted. The charges relate to his escape, along with other top Brotherhood leaders, from a prison north of Cairo.

I thought this was the guy 0 wanted released.

Sounds like Egypt (like many other nations these days) is giving the little Anti-Christ-in-Traning the middle finder

Actually, Obama’s first choice is now the VP of Egypt. Elbaredai was the guy backed by Obama and Soros supported when Mubarak was ousted and now he’s the second in command.

Nobody is giving Obama the middle finger. Obama is just outsmarting conservatives.

One has to wonder how Obama is getting his intelligence, considering all the effect to support the MB. What, blame it on a rouge Cleveland office of the NSA like the IRA?

I believe the Egyptian military also knows Morsi backed the attempted hostage taking of Christopher Stevens in exchange for the Blind Sheik at Benghazi. Two SEALs deciding to save those at the compound ruined Morsi/Obama/Hillary's plan at this 'election bump' attempt.

There is video from the night of the attack where some men are overheard yelling "Don't shoot.. We were sent by Morsi".. Pretty damning stuff!

Thanks RummyChick. Al-Reuters still in there with the "Egypt's first freely elected leader" BS.

This is how you handle the brotherhood, desert storm two

Egypt: Military Launches Operation In Sinai
July 27, 2013 | 1556 GMT
The Egyptian military launched an operation to combat terrorism and violence in the Sinai Peninsula on July 27, unnamed military sources said, Xinhua reported, citing state-owned Ahram. In the operation, dubbed “Desert Storm,” formations from the country’s second and third field military are seeking to siege terrorism elements and centers in the desert and mountain roads, especially in the northern and middle areas of the peninsula, the source said. The first wave of the operation will take 48 hours, he said, and the army, naval and air forces have imposed strict control measures over roads, tunnels and ferries connecting Sinai with other governorates. The military is taking advantage of Egypt’s recent political chaos to try to bring Sinai militancy back to tolerable levels.

Yep. Elbaredai did a bang-up job protecting the Iranians from the IAEA when he ran the place, so of course he’s Obastard’s boy.

He’s also threatened war with Israel. He parsed it by saying Egypt would go to war if the Israelis attacked Gaza.

I’ve got a long attention span and don’t forget that sort of thing after a year or two.

It is considered a sign of piety for a devout Muslim to have a reddish, callused bump on the forehead that is a sign of status how often the religious one prays (x5 times a day) on his face, constantly smacking his forehead at the same epicenter forehead point for a lifetime.

Let's see, that's bumping your head 1,825 times a year for an average lifespan of 75 year for a male (unless they try to storm the Egyptian Republican Guard HQ, then it ends right there and then) that would yield 136,875 times they bump the head into the floor.

I do not see Morsi’s bump and he is a high ranking official in the Egyptian MB. That means he did not PRAY ENOUGH that Allah would continue his tenure as Egyptian PM.

Next time you see a HAMAS/JIHAD/HIZBOLLAH/AL-QAEIDA/MB type being interviewed, check out the forehead, if there's no bump, he's not a serious, devout Muslim.
