Attorneys for Christian parents who fled Germany in order to home school their children but have been denied U.S. asylum said they are preparing to ask the U.S. Supreme Court to hear the case and were working with Congress to try to change asylum law.
The Romeikes (roh-MEYE-kees) moved to Morristown in eastern Tennessee in 2008 after an escalating fight with German officials that led to fines totaling €7,000, or more than $9,000. Uwe and Hannelore Romeike said they feared that if they stayed in Bissingen an der Teck in the state of Baden-Württemberg, their children could be taken away because the family refused to comply with a law mandating that all children attend school.
The family initially was granted asylum by a Memphis immigration judge, but that ruling was overturned. …

We load up Somalis and Albanians by the thousands because they are political “refugees,” but a Christian family actively persecuted for their faith by the ungodly German government is now hounded by our own ungodly government.
I watch this case with concern.

There are probably very many Freepers who home school, or Church school, or otherwise private school. We urge all of you to switch over to your word processor and printer, and put your support for FULL PARENTAL SOVEREIGNTY AND CHOICE in child education ON PAPER, and mail it to ALL of your elected representatives.
When you write, mention the Romeike family case, and ask your representatives to check the Obama Administrations stated motives for their refusal to grant asylum.
Let’s deport Aunt Zuni, and keep these people.
This family came to the US in 2008. The littlest girl had to have been born in the US and the last time I saw the mom on Glenn Beck’s program the mom was very pregnant and must have given birth since then. Doesn’t that mean that they have two American citizen children? Aren’t children like this considered “anchor babies”? So how can they deport American children?
On the other hand I dont think we should be taking in all the third world refugees out there either.
Fly to Mexico, come across the border, speak only SPANISH. Get drivers license. Keep working hard.
I am going to do what I can to voice support for these people.
Of all the squatters, illegals, etc. this family should be here and used as an example of what assylum is for. If they were not white evangelicals I’m certain they would be allowed to stay and we never would have heard of them. I’m praying for this family.

Where’s the pro-amnesty Republicans? They ought to be supporting these Dreamers.
The Regime is showing its callousness by not supporting this family who could lose their children if they are returned to Germany.
