DOJ Declines to Prosecute Officials Involved in Tax Record Scandal
Washington Free Beacon ^ | July 20, 2013 | CJ Ciaramella

Confidential tax records of several political candidates and campaign donors were improperly accessed by government officials, but the Justice Department declined to prosecute any of the officials involved, even in one “willful” violation of the law, an IRS watchdog reported.

In a July 3 letter to Sen. Chuck Grassley (R., Iowa), the Treasury inspector general for tax administration (TIGTA) J. Russell George acknowledged that government officials had illegally accessed tax records of candidates and donors in four instances since 2006.

TIGTA determined that in three of the cases the access was “inadvertent.”

Every time one of Obama's henchmen go out and lie for him in public, another stone is pulled from his foundation. Those doing his lying and corrupt misdeeds will tire of it, if not before his term ends, just after it.

All will be told in time. Just can't do it now because that would be racist.

Living thru this regime is like a self mutilation syndrome. It makes no sense. It's painful to watch. Misdirection is used whenever anyone gets close, like that "I am Trayvon" $hit. Whenever they feel frustrated and foolish, they just pull out the razors and start hacking away at the collective flesh. The emotion of living that attack on ourselves just shuts the media off like a switch.

The ‘doj’ willfully and openly breaks the law. Who is going to prosecute the criminals in the ‘doj’?

I have only one question for the republicant run House: Will you write the law that repeals obamacare which will be run by the IRS which is a proven den of corruption and imperial powers?

IF the republicants will not write that law and publicize it and why it is necessary, THEN the republicants now in office need to be run out of DC on a rail with hot tar and feathers covering their filthy countenances. I would favor a lynching, but that's just me and my exploding intolerance of their corruption.

Correct. That is why our Framers included Article V. The people/states can do an end run around our thoroughly corrupted, consolidated government.

I remember when we expected the rule of law. Today, under Obama, I doubt that anyone was surprised at government agents getting away with abusing these extremely private records. Obama disgusts me.

I am expecting the Republicans to do something about it.

I'm not. Especially when it is quite probable that the GOP was involved in these crimes also. Consider the fact that the IRS attack on O'Donnell came immediately as she was announcing her challenge of incumbant Mike Castle (R. DE)....much to the dismay of the GOP.

The way incidents are being played out I suspect the greater portion of our elected officials perhaps as many as 80% , even from the local and state levels, have been tainted with campaign contributions.

"No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a grand jury"

Which is why Zimmerman did not go to trial.....oh, wait.
