Melissa Harris-Perry want everyone to know that she has a STD. What other reason would someone wear tampons? Some women wear tampons because they are menstruating. This is a gross female experience involving bleeding buckets for days at a time. Other women use "sanitary pads" under the same conditions.
Neither product has any connection to STDs, and the relevance to abortion escapes me, since one doesn't menstruate when pregnant.

Yes I am aware that women wear tampons during menstruation, usually because they do not like the obvious "bump" of the larger and more efficient pads.
And yes I do not see the connection between tampons and abortion. But while we are in an "Alice in Wonderland" environment, maybe the wearing of ear ring tampons is a signal of something? ...like favoring abortion? ...like signaling that she has an STD? ...like she is really stupid? ...like she failed personal hygiene class in high school?
I do not know.
