Sebelius: Obamacare Opponents Are Like Those Who Opposed Civil Rights Legislation
BIG HEALTH REPORT.COM ^ | JULY 17, 2013 | By Susan Jones

Addressing the annual NAACP convention in Orlando, Fla., Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius said that opponents of Obamacare are the same kind of people who opposed civil rights legislation in the 1960s.

Her comments on Tuesday came one day before the Republican-led House votes to delay key provisions of the law.

“The Affordable Care Act is the most powerful law for reducing health disparities since Medicare and Medicaid were created in 1965, the same year the Voting Rights Act was also enacted,” Sebelius said. “That significance hits especially close to home. My father was a congressman from Cincinnati who voted for each of those critical civil rights laws, and who represented a district near where the late Reverend Fred Shuttlesworth lived and preached.

“The same arguments against change, the same fear and misinformation that opponents used then are the same ones opponents are spreading now. ‘This won’t work,’ ‘Slow down,’ ‘Let’s wait,’ they say.

“But history shows that upholding our founding principles demands continuous work toward a more perfect union…And it requires the kind of work that the NAACP has done for more than a century to move us forward.

“You showed it in the fight against lynching and the fight for desegregation. You showed it by ensuring inalienable rights are secured in the courtroom and at the ballot box. And you showed it by supporting a health law 100 years in the making.

She obviously is ignorant of history. If not for the Republicans the Democrats would have killed the Civil Rights Act. Then again, she is a Dem and that makes my statement seem kind of redundant doesn’t it?

>> Her father, Jack Gilligan could not have voted for the Civil Rights Act of 1964, since he did not become a U.S. Congressman until 1965! <<

Facts mean nothing to democrats. Sebelius must have learned that trick from Hillary Clinton, who we all know was named after Sir Edmund! /sarc

Of course, the Congressman from that District (Ohio, 1st) did vote for the CRA, and it was Carl Rich, a Republican!

Standard textbook agitprop.

From Psychological Operations Field Manual No.33-1

Obtain Disapproval. This technique is used to get the audience to disapprove an action or idea by suggesting the idea is popular with groups hated, feared, or held in contempt by the target audience. Thus, if a group which supports a policy is led to believe that undesirable, subversive, or contemptible people also support it, the members of the group might decide to change their position.

Why she is a practicing Catholic..... social justice and all, probably just like that old buried in Arlington Cemetery, lion of the senate ‘teddy kennedy’. NO I do NOT hate Catholics, but this double minded theology is NOT social justice. God will judge, but he did give grey/gray matter to His children, all of them, to recognize deception when it is so very obvious.

I am beginning to consider the possibility this social justice is a revenge on those protestants, NOT that they are performing in any better state.

HHS SEC. SEBELIUS: “What Will Happen With Health Reform, Premiums Will Go Down Between 14% And 20% Just By Passing The Bills.”
(Sec. Sebelius, Press Conference, 2/18/10)

“The champions of socialism call themselves progressives, but they recommend a system which is characterized by rigid observance of routine and by a resistance to every kind of improvement. They call themselves liberals, but they are intent upon abolishing liberty. They call themselves democrats, but they yearn for dictatorship. They call themselves revolutionaries, but they want to make the government omnipotent.” —economist Ludwig von Mises (1881-1973)

Sebelius: Obamacare Opponents Are Like Those Who Opposed Civil Rights Legislation

I have come to realize that whenever I hear Democrats use language like this, they are simply projecting their own sins. It is Sebelius who wants to or is in progress of violating the civil rights of Americans.

Geeez is she stupid!

From the article she attempts to justify the health care takeover:
“But history shows that upholding our founding principles demands continuous work toward a more perfect union…And it requires the kind of work that the NAACP has done for more than a century to move us forward."
Bwahahahahaha!

Oh, really Sebel-kook?

Upholding our founding principles means DENYING an overreaching general government a power the Constitution does not authorize it to have! Running a healthcare business!

The preamble of the constitution “...in Order to form a more perfect Union” has absolutely NOTHING to do with a goal! It is the ACT, the compact itself (US Constitution) that achieves a more perfect union in contrast to the Articles of Confederation which was our founder’s first attempt to form a union/compact between the 13 colonies following the Revolutionary War. It was failing amongst the colonies due mainly to the 13 colonies unwillingness to give needed authority to the general government and legitimacy when dealing in international trade. Thus the Federalist Papers(essays) were written to argue in favor of a new constitution, a more perfect union(compact), with a stronger general government of a Federal form.

Sebelius is a complete MORON and evil B**CH! Twisting the words of our constitution to mean something it had no intention to mean in order to justify the illegal government takeover of a free-market industry which the general government had no authority to do so!

Typical Marxist pig and member of the United States Communist Party that will do anything to weaken the constitution in order to replace it and our free market economy with an authoritarian fascist oligarchy, communism!

Liberals are the enemies of our country and constitution!

Sebelius shouldn’t talk about Rev. Fred Shuttlesworth if she is smart.

His record of support for Communist Party USA fronts was significant and his leftist was blatant.

While he was a “civil rights” activist, he was a lot of other things, none of them something to be proud of.

She might as well talk about Rev. James Bevel and his far-left wife. Both were very pro-Viet Cong/NLF, including her meeting them in Indonesia about 1965 or 1967, and I believe he met with them in Canada in 1967 or 1968.

However, Bevel was also a child-molester, his own daughter, and he ended up in jail for it, but too late to have prevented his pro-communist activities.

Sebelius is the most evil woman in the Obama regime. Napolitano is just “stuck on stupid”, permanently, but I don’t think that she is “evil”. Just dumb as a warm turd.

But Sebelius is devious, a liar par excellance, and power mad. If America ever had an Eva Peron, it is Sebelius. Even looks like her.

Obama knew well who he chose for various cabinet posts. Did his recruiting out of the “Village of the Damned”, and many of them look like it.

We need a political “Exorcist” to rid America of these cursed demons of evil and destruction. Peter Battey, where are you? SEQUEL please, for our side.

“...That’s a horrible thing to wish upon maggots.....”

Yeah, that is true. It’s a dastardly job, but something has to do it.
Besides, the feds record of prosecuting “maggots” is pretty poor.

And how has all that “civil rights legislation” worked out for the so-called black community?
