Even if true, the WH Press Secretary should never characterize a high school intern's question as "ridiculous". Just another example that Carney is totally unqualified for this position. What a piece of ...... Were he my employee, Mr. Carney would be making some apology phone calls this afternoon and would open the next press conference with a public apology to the young journalist.
The question was fine. A real press secretary would have responded by saying that this appears to be a matter for local law enforcement but if a request for assistance were made, it would certainly be evaluated and appropriate action taken. Carney fields more ridiculous questions in every press conference from the so-called "professional" journalists.

The WH and DOJ were initially orgasmic over the chance to demagogue a white Jew (must be, his name is Zimmerman) profiling and murdering a black teen. Now that the facts are out, not so much. Oops....better stop digging.

The quick dismissal says to me that Carney didn’t want any talk of the Black Panther’s death threats in the room.

Everyone knew why the question was asked. Holder has been out there ever since the verdict was announced, re-inforcing the Obama administration involvement in the aftermath of the case, agitating for those death threats.

Jay Carney publically humiliates if not verbally abuses a kid. Great job WH.

He then brushed off the question as "ridiculous." Not true. Watch the exchange.
The student made a follow up statement after Carney answered.
He said, "So they're on their own."
Not a question. A statement. That is when Carney responded and called such a statement ridiculous.
Inaccurate reporting by Fox.

An excellent education for the young lad - on the crassness, insolence and cynicism of our “leaders” and the need to affect an “attitude” in Washington DC.

If only I had that much poise at 16.
Bonehead move by Carney, calling a 16 year old's question 'ridiculous'.
But bonehead moves are what this administration excels at.

Jay Carney is the epitomic symbol what diarrhetics flush down the toilet.

O’Mara alluded to it on TV. I’ll see if I can find a story ... but after I get my work done.

So the Administration is indifferent to the safety of a man who was found not guilty. You have to be an Obama voter to get anything out of this Administration.

But Mr. Zimmerman almost certainly voted for Mr. Obama in 2008 and is part black, just like our Dear Leader!!

Does "Sideshow" Carney know anything about the administration's Soviet-style hotline for tips on how to get a man acquitted of all charges?
sanford.florida@usdoj.gov
No, of course not. He knows nothing, sees nothing.

Maybe he meant it was “ridiculous” to think that Ubomba would be concerned over a white/hispanic being killed.
