House Majority Leader Eric Cantos (R-VA) will lead a tour of House leaders next week aimed at educating Americans, and each other, about the history and importance of immigration to the United States. The tour, dubbed the "Become America" tour, will feature events and speeches aimed at overcoming opposition to the passage of comprehensive immigration reform, which has stumbled amidst opposition from conservatives.

The trip is being coordinated by the non-profit Faith & Politics Institute, and will include members of both parties, such as Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D-IL), a persistent advocate of amnesty for illegal immigrants. In April, Guiterrez told a wealthy audience in Chicago that they owed it to the people who "wash the dishes" and "take care of your kids and mow your lawn" to support a path to U.S. citizenship for illegal aliens.

I never hear any intelligent discussion of what is good for America. For instance, I assume these people will continue to vote in Mexican elections. These are not faithful Americans.

Excellent point. Let's see if they even mention the significant, basic distinctions between legal, self-supporting immigration and illegal, parasitic "immigration".
These Republican elites -- becoming more and more like the Democrat Socialist Left each day -- really think they can cause confusion in the minds of the electorate. They know they'll lose (if they haven't already lost) the conservative base, but they must think if they can just convince enough ignorant voters to vote for Republicans who think and behave like Democrats rather than voting for Democrats who think and behave like Socialists, that's a "winning strategy".
