Maybe it's a combination of genes and food - or genes and attitude or genes and fetal birth weight... we know so little...
Agree 100% However, I have one concern. And I am not being sarcastic. Quality of life. Yes, we will all perish one day. But our family takes care of a Alzheimer’s patient. I would rather be able to remember my family at age 70. So I am continuing to search and have gotten no rock-solid answer...
I will keep taking mine.
My annual CT following the growth of an aortic aneurysm found a 70-80% blocked kidney artery. My daughter (an ER trauma nurse) told me to take Krill oil. Within 2 years the artery blockage reduced first to 60%, then disappeared altogether. Color me a believer that antioxidants in the omega-3 kill free radicals that cause artery buildup.
As far as I’m aware, nothing reverses artery buildup. Once it’s there it’s always there. Surgery can remove some blockage, and eating healthy foods can slow down further buildup, but there are no foods or exercise that will reduce the blockage that is already there.
This kind of stuff is irritating.
There is a 100% increase in death after birth. Thats not giving birth, but being born. Were gonna die!
Well, if you don’t want to live as long as you can,,,go for it.
Heck, I’ve been taking fish oil and vitamin E for forty years, and I’m as healthy as a ho
The study did not target people who eat fish or take Omega-3 supplements,
True. But they found the ones who had a great increase in prostate cancer risk, everything else being equal, had Omega-3 in their blood. And the main source of Omega-3 is fish.
You might be surprised. The supplement business is no threat to Big Pharma. And think of how this may effect “boutique eggs” such as the ones I buy.
You nailed it.
I get my 3’s from eggs, from chickens that are fed ground flax. Also eat a serving or two per week of fatty fish. And chia seeds for breakfast. I never liked fish oil supplements. Had unpleasant aftertaste.
For a senior like me, dragging my clubs for 7 miles (average walking length on 18 holes) up and down hills 50+ feet high and hitting 40 to 50 shots with all my might (other 40 shots are putts requiring little effort) is quite strenuous. It takes 4 hours and 30 minutes of time. I am exhausted at the end. So it is definitely vigorous exercise in my case. The health benefits I am actually experiencing? Priceless!
What is wrong in just eating fish instead of swallowing pills?
In general, there is nothing that has been proven to actually limit the risk of prostate cancer, said Lowe, who was not involved in the study.
And, you know that because......????
“Had unpleasant aftertaste.”.....depends upon the kind you buy...and quality....and, btw...you ARE aware of the problems with FLAX for some people....right?
Hmmm....I was told nothing could change my small, dense cholesterol issue, too....it was “hereditary”....but, I did....probably with fish oil...and maybe some compounded bio-id hormones...and maybe Niacin...who knows....but, I did.
Alone, the omegas can add free radicals.
E must be taken with them.
What, not enough food for the whales?
That’s why it gets fed to chickens, and then I eat the eggs. Also, I mentioned chia. Did I stumble into the religion forum?
