The idea of forcing children to attend school is outdated and should be scrapped in favor of a system that encourages learning by choice, state Sen. Aaron Osmond said in calling for an end to compulsory education in Utah.
“Some parents act as if the responsibility to educate, and even care for their child, is primarily the responsibility of the public school system,” the South Jordan Republican first wrote on a state Senate blog on Friday. …

It’s one guy, but that’s a start. Stop the drafting of minor children into the government indoctrination units.

Kids first need to learn to be good, then formal religion, and finally, basic academic skills, like reading and simple arithmetic. The rest is up to them.

Absolutely. It is a start——then check out the original McGuffey Readers-—for 10 year olds......Milton, Dickens, the Bible, John Locke, Adam Smith, The Federalist Papers—profound ideas with firm moral foundation.

The “Go, Spot, Go” John Dewey/Socialist/Marxists curricula has got to be destroyed. It was designed intentionally to destroy Reason/Wisdom/Knowledge and erase traditions/concepts and Virtue (Christian Ethics) and replace them with Satanic Ethics—so Western Civ would collapse and the NWO can begin.
Destroy Virtue and you will collapse society. Children have to be formed and raised in the Natural Family or as close to it as possible for the first seven years of life..........don’t allow strangers to form their worldview. The family is what forges individualism/uniqueness—thinking outside the box-—and a healthy self-image
Schools have to uphold YOUR belief system or else you create “cognitive dissonance” and your children will be confused-—Good and Evil blurred—and their foundation is not firm at all.......easily manipulated.
we just started to try it but did not want the same as the kid next door as he;s a dope who has no education what so ever.
We’re going to finish this curse up and see what to do after.
We do live in one of the most republican counties in FL and we do have the best school system in the state and so we’;ll see what happens in a few months

You bet. I cannot begin to imagine the kids of rotten parents running around without being able to read or write but old enough to wreck things and kill people. Not good.

The “Little Red School House” concept is what built this nation, not the giant carpeted, air conditioned indoctrination centers that resemble a state penitentiary we now foster on the the little heads full of mush.

And the beauty is, with the advent of personal computers and the internet, the penitentiary institutions are completely obsolete.

Government may have an interest in seeing children be educated, but it is a GRAVE MISTAKE to allow government to run the schools. At most, government should set standards and allow parents to test their children to those standards. But this should not preclude private standards as well.
My wife and I homeschooled our daughter and she is very competent now to run her own retail store. Although she lacks a high school diploma, we recently saw the performance of a young person who was enrolled in Florida’s government school system and she was grossly ignorant by any standard.
Rachel Jeantel showed that government makes demands and promises, yet refuses to be held to its own standards, yet at great cost to the taxpayers. Great cost? How many people know that in some urban school districts it costs in excess of ONE MILLION dollars to graduate a single child who is competent in all subjects at grade level.
Given how much we are spending on food stamps, we no longer have the luxury to afford the monstrous catastrophe of government-run schools.
And their kids are the behavior problems that monopolize the teachers’ and administrators’ time. Schools are better off without them.
