Martin was from Miami, nobody knew him in Sanford. This LA Times writer shows his ignorance.

The whole Booker T. section is very insightful, as far as the negro advancing since then, they have not, nothing has changed...only those who function as an individual then and now are successful, regardless of race.

Yep! I started calling them racial parasites because they do noting more than feed of their own kind...... and leave everyone else to clean up the mess.
Actually, a FReeper had the most plausible explanation for the entire thing.
Trayvon is casing houses (on his way back from getting Iced Tea and Skittles...which are completely irrelevant to anything, but the media seems to disagree with me....). Zimmerman sees him. Trayvon sees Zimmerman, or hears him talking to 911 on his cell phone, and stashes his tools as soon as they're out of sight from each other.
Zimmerman heads back to his car. Trayvon doubles back to get his stuff. Inadvertently runs into Zimmerman, they have a few words, and the rest is history.
I like all of the speculation about Trayvon "lying in wait to ambush Zimmerman" and so forth. But the above explanation is simple and sensible, and Occam's razor says it's likely correct.
It was a ‘slim jim’ which is used to jimmy locks and possibly one other item. Officer Serino testified to that or put it in one of is reports. The items were found in the bushes where Travon was hiding and I think near the apartment he was casing.
BTW - the drink wasn’t iced tea. The MSM for some reason doesn’t want to tell us it was really watermelon drink.

Thanks for your reply. I have been trying to keep up with the true facts of this case and completely missed this. It’s important to realize that this teen was not the innocent that has been claimed.
Don’t worry about keeping up with the facts of the case. There is MUCH more information that is going to come out. I suspect we’ll all get to see (if we want to) the texts and pictures from Tray’s cell phone that the prosecution withheld from the defense. Maybe we’ll get to find out who DeeDee really is. We’ll find out all about Tray’s martial arts skills, his daddy’s Crips gang connections and why his mommy could no longer care for him when he was little. Hopefully the woman who raised him will tell all. The defense attorneys know most of it but have said little about it in the trial.
If memory serves, it was a slimjim and a screwdriver (or set of screwdrivers?). On its face, there's nothing unusual about them; I've got the same stuff in my shop at home.
But I'm not 17, with a record of B&E, and carrying them around in my pocket, in the evening, in the rain, and looking in the windows of houses that don't belong to me.
They do it to express his supposed innocence, but I've learned there is a street concoction of Skittles, watermelon ice tea and cough syrup that supposed to get you high. It's called Purple Drank, I think.
The coroner's report mentioned that not only was there pot in Trayvon's system, but his liver was already starting to be damaged by the Purple Drank stuff, so the media is either laughing in our faces or showing thier ignorance.
Plus, the extra large screwdriver was found in Travon’s backpack along with 12 items of women’s jewelry. The school police never reported Travon to the Sanford police and they sent the device and the jewelery to them as ‘found’ items. It was later determined the jewelry was stolen from an apartment a couple of blocks from Travon’s school.
