I believe conversation not confrontation leads to change and progress. I never have and never will advocate violence under any circumstances and I pray that we all encourage and educate each other. The death of Trayvon Martin is an unthinkable tragedy that is any parent’s worst nightmare. As a father, I want my daughter to grow up in a country that uses this tragedy to heal and grow and progress. My prayers continue to go out to Trayvon Martin’s family.”

The ONLY reason this fool backtracked is because his agent told him that he was risking endorsement dollars. He is currently a spokesman for Chunky Soup and Time Warner Cable.

Yet another pro athlete who personally contributes NOTHING to the gross national product. He is only there to sell “entertainment”. Promoting someones product (which he probably doesn’t even eat) is nothing more than an opportunity to get his face in public and to make a few bucks, again for doing NOTHING of real value. Who really cares what toilet paper, soup or tooth paste he uses?

I always heard that it was too late for a dog to apologize after he bit. Anyway he showed his true colors, where his heart is.
In some quarters the “tweet” was characterized as a threat. I didn’t read it that way; more like a comment on GZs life being in danger.
I’ve made similar dumb comments right here, so I give Cruz a pass. Your mileage may vary.
