Anyone watching the huge Trayvon Martin protests in New York City? According to the guy filming, he's seen at least 8 arrests, there has been pepper spray, and several groups of protestors have joined together. The people out are using Occupy Wall Street chants, so I think they are involved.

Yes I agree that Times Square is a gathering place of tourists and folks just getting out of their apartments with no air conditioning. Looks like a regular night at Times Square.

These are effectively state endorsed rallies. They may think they’re not but their leaders are all effectively “political officers” for the administration.
KNBC web site has live chopper feed. About 5 minutes ago, TV news van was surrounded by about 50 protesters. They high-tailed it out of there.

They had all of about a 100 show up here for some lame march and that only because they were serving free snacks.

They are randomly going into the crowd and putting two or three of them in flex cuffs. A good percentage appear to be white, they’ll disperse on their own when they run out of granola bars.
