the Affordable Care Act has a new, high profile set of dissenters: Unions.
The leaders of three major U.S. unions, including the highly influential Teamsters, have sent a scathing open letter to Democratic leaders in Congress, warning that unless changes are made, President Obama’s health care reform plan will “destroy the foundation of the 40 hour work week that is the backbone of the American middle class.”
If that’s not bad enough, the Affordable Care Act, if not modified, will “destroy the very health and wellbeing of our members along with millions of other hardworking Americans,”

These people spent their member's dues to support Obama and other Democrats who wrote this legislation and got it enacted into law. These union officals all said how great Obamacare was. Now all of a sudden they are finally starting to figure out that it will be a disaster for their members.
These people are liars and scum. No one should trust them.
They don’t want the law changed. They want waivers and special dispensations.
“Racist!” the one size fits all expletive for anyone opposing anything the fascist does. It took the America haters decades of work to achieve this.
Wonder what the loyal union teachers had to say about that?
obama will say “The law is now changed” and that’ll be it. “Let it be said. Let it be done. The King’s word is law.”

Out here in Wino Country, small businesses, medium size businesses and some large businesses/with stores across the nation or region are limiting their employees to 30 hours per week.
Some of these businesses are helping their 30 hour employees to find work with another employee.
Of course basically no one working for these companies have health insurance.
One family, we know has a 30 something daughter with limited mental capabilities. She is an excellent employee, and the company she works for cut her hours to 30 hours. Her cobra costs would are over $900 per month, and her parents are now covering that. Her boss got her another job with another company for 30 hours with no benefits.
I have posted before about working young singles and couples opting out insurance with the incredible increases this year due to Obama care. Many are paying cash at a Doctor’s office, when they or a child needs to see a doctor. Not only did the costs on their insurance policies have big increases, their yearly deductibles went out of sight.
My wife knows of working couples in their late 40’s to mid 60’s, who have opted for concierge care out of their pocket as the $1800-$2400 deductible per person/year is as expensive or more expensive than concierge care.
Of course the only thing the gay media covers in Californicator land is the wonderful gay marriage bs.
Many people probably would like the Obama Administration to decree it illegal for private business to cut back worker hours.
If they’re able to do a “fix” for the unions,
it’s a win-win for leftists who run the
unions and for dems who get mega donations
from the unions.

That’s a big “If”. The question is: do they want to? ObamaCare will fundamentally transform America and that means that the useful idiots are no longer necessary. Once healthcare is altered in favor of the new system, the changes are effectively permanent. Once we get there, the path back is gone.
The last thing that a gang of power-mad dictators wants is citizen organizations like unions agitating for “fairness”. The dictator class in DC has never been about true fairness because they needed us at each others throats. Once the “transformation” is complete, they need us compliant.
The rank-and-file unionistas are coming to realize this now.

The goon squad didn’t think of this when the bill was being debated congress. They were for the bill before they were against it. Now that the law is going to affect workers, they can make a show of standing up for the workers. What a bunch of crooks.
