InterOccupy.Net has set itself up as a hub for demonstrations to react to the verdict in the trial of George Zimmerman. The prosecution and defense have both rested, and the case is expected to go to the jury shortly.

The Stop Mass Incarceration Network has set up a Facebook Page for people to list any planned actions responding to the imminent verdict in the George Zimmerman Murder Trial.

Many of us have real jobs and/or families, and some of us are badly disabled (as I am) but if you’ll suggest a course of action, I’m sure lots of us will look it over. The Occupy crowd and their counterparts at ACORN, MoveOn, DU, Kos, International ANSWER, etc. on the other hand, seem to be made up of two types: Trust Funders who don’t have to work and can play at revolution 24/7 and poor to middle class college grads and dropouts with no marketable skills, huge student loan debts and no realistic prospects of finding anything much beyond minimum wage. They live in mom’s basement or with 4-5 roommates in a small apartment or house and since they cannot find gainful employment have time to stick it to the man.

Whether he is cleared or not, this poor man will have a hellish life, forever. If I were him, and I had the money to do it, I would get some plastic surgery and new documents and move somewhere far away. However, I don’t know if he has a wife and-or children.

It speaks volumes that the police had a press conference urging for calm after the verdict. A sad state of affairs.

Amen to that! Join/form Neighborhood Watch groups; join local emergency response teams (Volunteer Fire/Rescue Companies, local police reserve units, State Defense Force Units), or form our own to counter DHS CERTs. Discuss with any organizations to which you belong what they could do in an emergency situation. (Don’t laugh, but a regiment of Civil War Reenactors would make a potent anti-riot squad).

Local Emergency Response Teams. LERTs. Be a LERT; the world needs more LERTs. (Sorry if this sounds facetious ; I’m serious)

Most of the ‘Occupy’ people were hired off Craig’sList... You remember the ads - they were re-posted on FreeRepublic. This will be the same, but they wont’ use Craig’sList - makes them look desperate.

The circus going on with this show trial is funny - enjoy the spectacle but remember they want us to join in - they want more drama - they want violence. Don't give it to them. Watch, eat popcorn, laugh - and thank your lucky stars we don't have self appointed ‘leaders’...acting like fools.

Your idea of humor and mine differs then. Not only is an innocent man's life is at stake. A man who did nothing more than defend his life. A man who was trying to help and protect his community from the criminal element. However, the main focus of this attack is to chip away the ability the citizen has to defend their lives when attacked or to demolish it outright. The secondary prong of the attack is against one of the methods the citizens may employ to defend their lives, to wit: by carrying or possessing a firearm.
