An angry mother has accused a primary school of denying her child water on one of the hottest days of the year for fear of upsetting pupils observing Ramadan.
Kora Blagden, 32, claimed a teacher at her son Luke’s school refused to let the 10-year old drink from his water bottle because it was unfair to fasting classmates.
Many pupils at Charles Dickens Primary School, Portsmouth, Hampshire, are fasting during Ramadan, which means they refrain from taking food or water between sunrise and sunset for around 30 days, depending on the moon.
Mother-of-four Kora said: 'Just before bedtime me and my sons Luke, ten, and Alfie, eight, were talking about Ramadan as we had seen it on the news.
'Luke said to me he was told he wasn’t allowed to drink in class by his teacher.

Odd, when I was a young Catholic and couldn’t eat meat on Friday, no non-Catholics joined in to make me feel better.

There's a reason for that: the non-Catholics knew that there was zero chance that your fellow Catholics would try to decapitate them or blow them up with a suicide bomb if they didn't join in to make you feel better.
The non-Muslims in this situation have no such feeling of confidence.
It's not the same for non-Muzzies.
Ramadan is such a joke. Better to have a single day of fasting every week or during certain times than only a half day followed by a night of gluttony.
Fasting for an entire day actually has a humbling effect. Fasting for half a day is for wimps.
Sheer posturing. May they all suffer acid reflux leading to throat cancer.

was he able to go to the bathroom? when i was 10, 35 years ago, i use to use every excuse i can to go to bathroom during class.
we also don’t have any muslims back then. i’d eat my pork lunchbox.

It is no concern of anyone else's.
We don’t want to hydrate our English children during Ramadan because it may offend the Muslims.
We don’t want to break up Muslim prostitute grooming rings of our English daughters because it may offend the Muslims.
What a truly pathetic bunch the English have become. Political correctness is a mental disorder that can and sometimes does have deadly results.

I missed the part of the story where the teacher was fired. The only way to stop this crap is to take strong decisive action in the face of would be oppressors.
That’s a teacher problem.
