At one time is definitely right. If you are enjoying any kind of freedom now you are doing it without government approval, they don’t intend for you to have even on iota of real freedom.

Ball ammo is vastly inferior to expanding ammo for self defense use in terms of ‘stopping power’. Watch what ball 9mm does in a standard block of ballistic gelatin compared to what a good expanding 9mm bullet does
Never to be forgotten, in a land plagued with shysters, is also the issue of increased likelihood of creating a feeding frenzy of land-sharks (AKA “lawyers”) when the ball ammo exits the target and hits someone.
The only thing “Ball ammo” has going for it is that it feeds better/more reliably is some autoloading pistols.
