Forget about violent revolution (2 main reasons Americans won't war with ruling class)
WND ^ | July 10, 2013 | Robert Ringer

Recently, a friend and I were discussing the expansion of criminality in the ranks of Washington’s power elite, which prompted him to ask, “With the dramatic increase in the purchase of firearms and ammunition by private citizens since Obama took office, when will the general populace say ‘Enough!’ and resort to violence to overthrow the oligarchy in Washington?”

The answer, I told him, is never. Forget about it. It’s not going happen. There will be no violent revolution in the United States, for a number of reasons.

If you look at the three great Western revolutions of the past two and half centuries – the Bolshevik Revolution in Russia in the early part of the 20th century, the French Revolution in the last decade of the 18th century and the American Revolution in the latter part of the 18th century, conditions were totally different than those in 21st century America.

People in all three countries were living under dictatorships, but there was one big difference between America on the one hand and France and Russia on the other. While the average American had a hard life compared to today’s Americans, most people were able to provide the basic necessities of life for their families. But in France and Russia, the masses lived in unimaginable squalor and poverty.

In his newest book, Robert Ringer goes to bat for the most maligned and beleaguered individuals in America. Don’t miss “The Entrepreneur: The Way Back for the U.S. Economy”

Another difference was that the landowners and wealthy gentry in America were not part of the ruling class and resented their British masters arbitrarily taking part of what they earned through the threat of force. Their counterparts in France and Russia, however, were arm in arm with the ruling class, so they had no

“And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?... The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin's thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt! If...if...We didn't love freedom enough. And even more – we had no awareness of the real situation.... We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward.” ― Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn

The colonists in 1776 were not living under a dictatorship. I would say Tge French weren’t either. I’m not even sure the Russians were.

He is right.......for now

However the sedating comfort is not going to last forever, its being fuel by debt spending that mathematically cannot last.

When pushed to the point that millions have nothing to lose, it won’t take much to start a violent uprising. The results will not be pretty no matter who “wins”.

When (not 'if') this bloated corrupt farce of a government collapses, those who are strong in mind and will and know what lawfulness is will survive and rise from the ashes to rebuild the Republic.

There isn't a need for a "war".

All we have to do is sit back and wait.....the liberals are all weak-minded and totally rely on the government for their existence. They will decimate each other as those of us who emulate our forefathers will be strong enough to simply sit back and let the dust settle.

When the foundations come crumbling down the leftist sheeple will all be dead within 6 months. Those who don't kill each other will simply sit in their hovels mindlessly waiting for their cable to be turned back on and for their government checks to arrive, they'll starve to death.

We’re just entering the phase that Argentina has been in for 70 years, and we don’t even have a military capable of a coup d’etat. Let’s go back to sleep.

The oligarchs will overplay their hand. It’s who they are. I agree with Ringer in a way. We won’t see an uprising, but maybe a downrising.

The French Revolution didn’t come about until the crops failed and the price of bread skyrocketed. Many revolutionaries were convinced that there were plots to hoard bread, or to gin the price up - basically that there was a giant conspiracy to keep bread off of their dinner tables. In truth, there may have been some hoarding (when has there not been?) but the main cause for the scarcity was weather - that combined with the government’s fiscal policies. (Especially the expensive war in the Americas). I suspect that a fed public is to, a large extent, a docile public.

Wow. The author of this article really has no clue.

The People won’t start squat. He got that correct. However, the arrogant and narcissistic ruling elites will.

Likely scenario: Zimmerman verdict is announced (does not matter for this discussion what the verdict is). Riots ensue. People defend themselves. Obama basically declares martial law.

That is almost certainly the plan. But I seriously doubt it will end in the way ANYONE expects. Just too many variables. All I know is that it will be ugly.

My two reasons are:

1. We are law-abiding types who follow our leaders.
2. All our leaders are nutless wimps.

When and if one of the above changes, it could be a different ballgame.

You’re suggesting the Zimmerman verdict could be a black swan event that has unforeseen consequences....here’s another:

Something - could be an EMP attack, a big X-class solar flare, a cyber attack, sabotage, or just a new and especially well-executed computer virus - knocks out the internet. Forget about all the inconsequential stuff and consider: what fraction of the population cannot eat beyond what they have in their fridge and cupboard without using a credit, debit, or EBT card?

Especially an EBT card, because that group of people almost certainly not going to be “preppers”, or have more than a few days worth of food on hand. Hungry people do very bad things.

And all the gummint has to do is make those cards stop working to create total pandemonium. It sounds like a good movie plot, doesn’t it?

You’re right - 43 million starving, jobless EBT cardholders could cause a bit of chaos.

Oh my, so sobering, so much like I think it is and will be for US. I keep thinking of the old Jewish woman in “Marathon Man” who recognized Szell or the old Jewish diamond merchant who recognized Szell and got his throat slit for his trouble. Some are trying to raise the alarm but most are just Too comfortable to be bothered or to allow themselves to feel threatened or listen or are too intimidated.

I think that the author misses the main point that we won't get to "violent revolution" until we've exhausted things like Nullification. There have been some very encouraging signs with nullification. The States will rise in power as the crisis of federal power continues. I frankly doubt that the feds will have the will to do much about increasing assertion by the States of their rightful powers. What will they do - raise a great LGBT army and send them against the Red State Rednecks? They'd have their a$$es handed to them. The feds are too savvy to even try it.

I think that it's really just a question of personal secession, having babies, homeschooling, mass CCW, family businesses, sane tax resistance, Main Street Solidarity, and relentless work to chip away at federal power. Let's get rid of the federal levers of power by repealing the 16th and 17th Amendments Meantime, let's nullify all federal laws that clearly overreach.

Hopefully we can avoid the nastier bits with these simple methods applied by millions of conservatives.

When the SHTF take a look at the county level electoral map from 2012. Those geographically small areas filled with leftists of all stripes that elected obama will be the areas to avoid. The security apparatus both state and federal will have their hands full with uncontrollable obamabots taking off the hands that used to give them their hand outs.

The rest of the country will get by the old fashioned America way by working together and defending what we've worked for.

If Chicago erupts in a major conflagration will it really matter in Montana or Alabama?
