Judge Snaps at Zimmerman Atty After He Objects to Her Asking Whether Zimmerman Will Testify
The Blaze ^ | 10 July, 2013 | Madeleine Morgenstern

The judge in George Zimmerman’s murder trial had a contentious exchange with one of Zimmerman’s defense attorneys Wednesday when he repeatedly objected to her asking his client whether he planned to testify in his own defense.

Judge Debra Nelson reminded Zimmerman that he was not required to testify, but when she asked whether he would like to, defense attorney Don West cut in, “I object your honor.” Nelson overruled his objection before asking again.

“I object to that question — ” West repeated.

“Overruled! The court is entitled to inquire of Mr. Zimmerman’s determination as to whether or not he wants to testify,” Nelson said.

This judge is a huge POS..she is practically begging Zimmerman to testify..she is salivating for it..just shows what side she is rooting for..Zimmerman would be an absolute fool to testify, he has already won the case

The obviously liberal (and therefore sleazy and untrustworthy) judgess is worried that she may have to undergo some Obamadork Chicago “justice” if she doesn’t succeed in throwing this case.

Obama is slime.

And so, for that matter, is she.

I object to that question. What possible reason does the judge have to ask that?

That question should be asked when the jury is not present.

This judge is a piece of work. It’s like she’s circumventing Zimmerman’s legal counsel inquiring into this.

It’s a type of intimidation.

Indeed. It’s clear the judge knows this one is lost and the only shot the judge and the prosecution team (and they are a team) have is to get Zimmerman to screw up.

I have NEVER seen a judge so in the tank for one side as this, especially when being watched.

I think she has eyes on higher office and knows that if she is a complete ass, the Democrat higher-ups will appoint her to something.

Is the judge trying to get a mistrial on a technicality so they can regroup and start again?

I certainly hope that exchange wasn’t in front of the jury.

This judge should be disbarred. She knows damn well that Zimmerman has legal representation. For her to disregard his legal representation while ambushing him with questions is unbecoming of her office.

If Zimmerman is convicted, the judge asking that question in front of the jury will likely trigger to events:
1. A new trial for Zimmerman and
2. Discipline for the judge
because the question could poison the minds of the jurors.

This judge is to this trial what Candy Crowley was to the Presidential debate.

She might be..you can just tell she is in the tank for the prosecution..but on the other hand, during the Casey Anthony trial, the judge seemed to be pro prosecution, sustaining most of the arguments the defense wanted and they still got Casey off so I guess anything is possible here

What a nasty piece of work she is.

I bet her husband sleeps on the couch....if she’s even married.
