I don’t doubt for a second that if Boehner allowed an up-or-down vote on the Senate bill, there’d be 20-30 Republicans willing to go all-in on amnesty with the entire Democratic caucus. The one and only thing stopping this from passing is John Boehner’s solemn promise that he won’t allow a vote on anything that doesn’t already have the support of a majority of the GOP majority.
You trust an old Hill hand like him to stand firm on that promise with the entire GOP establishment, virtually to a man, bleating for the party to pass immigration reform as soon as possible, don’t you?
If there is a vote on comprehensive immigration reform with a path to citizenship in the House, it will pass with a bipartisan majority. If all but a handful of the House Democrats vote yes, and at least 20 Republicans from the list below come along, reform can easily clear the 218 necessary to pass the lower chamber. Looking at the list of 99 House Republicans below, it’s clear that capturing those 20 or so Republican votes is well within reach. Our target list includes several different groups of Republicans, such as:
* Republicans with growing numbers of Latino and Asian constituents.
* Republicans who understand the need for the Party to tackle immigration reform for its own future.

It’s not called “caving” in Boehner’s case; it’s called collusion.
In 2014, we absolutely must find a Tea Partier who will run a strong primary campaign in Ohio’s Eighth Congressional District.
For people with any remaining faith in the GOP let me ask one thing.
Why?
Some folks think this is about fixing a broken system.
It is not.
We have laws on the books today, that if enforced would have kept our nation from being over-run. They were not enforced.
What assurance or better yet proof do we have that new laws will be enforced? None. Nothing. Nada!
New laws, mean nothing. We can dismiss them.
The only thing new, is facilitating instant legalization, and resultant amnesty.
That is all this is about, Amnesty.
These days I refer to it as CrAmnesty!
They’re going to cram this amnesty down our throats, no matter what, even if 316 million of us stand up and say no.
Get used to it folks.

Boehnhead calling a vote would not be caving. Boehnhead doing the right thing about immigtration would constitute “caving” for him.

Trusting Boehner is like trusting Obama,
except with Obama YOU KNOW WHAT YOU HAVE CLEARLY.

I believe he WOULDN’T DARE try to pass that horrible bill, if only to save his own political skin.
His career would be destroyed, over, finished, done ... if he fooled around with that bill.
Now then, if he has a better approach, he is always free to propose it (this being what he’s paid to do, after all).

It isn't at all clear they've succeeded, or will succeed.

Those guys are animals. Hell, they raped a female CBS reporter on-air during Cairo primetime. We still owe those fuzzy bastards a MOAB right in the middle of one of their rallies.
