Two and half years after being shot in the head, former Rep. Gabrielle Giffords visited a shooting range and fired a gun, her first stop on a seven-state, seven-day bus tour to push for expanded background checks for firearms purchases.
Accompanied by her husband, former astronaut Mark Kelly, on their "Rights and Responsibilities Tour," Giffords, wearing a green cardigan and an arm brace, smiled and waved after she shot the gun at the Clark County Shooting Complex in Las Vegas. Kelly also got in some target practice at the range.
This was the first time Giffords shot a gun since a mentally ill man shot her and killed six others in her congressional district in Tucson, Ariz., in early 2011.

I saw the video. She was firing a pistol at a target eight feet away. Her right and was in a sling, so it looks like she’s reached all the level of recovery she’s going to reach. To me, she’s little more than a prop that’s being completely exploited by her attention-seeking husband.

Of course she’s just a prop. That’s all she was when Wasserman Schultz trotted her out at the democRAT convention. Those around her have no qualms treating her as such and she’s apparently in no condition to know any better.
I wonder if whether or not “Mr. Giffords” has entertained the irony of a cerebrally deficient individual possessing a lethal weapon. ( I know, I’m cruel)
That’s a valid point. The anti-gun kooks want to restrict the legal use of guns by law-abiding citizens who have all their faculties and to make their case they put a gun in the hands of a woman who needs help walking across a stage. It’s a strange tack for certain.

They, Mark Giffords and the gun grabbers behind them are trying to put a message out that says, "we're only doing this for reasonable control - see, we still like guns, even Gabby likes to shoot one!"

I don’t care if she BUILDS a gun. Maniacs and criminals don’t obey gun laws. Gun laws are about disarming law abiding citizens not disarming criminals.
